Good Timing for becoming bolder...

The future has many names. For the weak it is unattainable. For the fearful it is the unknown. For the bold it is opportunity.

Highest aspirations

Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

My vision of healing is the end of suffering

Day 22 – The End of Suffering - perfect ending, I am healing NOW. Surrender to the bigger dream that God has for me...Surrender the dream of your life to the bigger one that the Divine has for us. MY VISION OF HEALING IS THE END OF SUFFERING.
All past conditioning can be erased. Only natural to want to escape pain and suffering.
Suffering is distorted consciousness born of self judgement, a mental conception, the false idea we are separate from each. different from pain. Escape from time and find eternity. Dying is the Portal to the Eternal Now.
Today’s meditation shows us that the spiritual journey into the heart of awareness, the present moment, is not an idle, impractical indulgence. Realizing our true nature as ever-present awareness is how we attain our full human potential. In reclaiming our timeless essence, we release ourselves from the bonds to our past and future. Those bonds are what keep us in separation, fear, and suffering. As we step into the here and now, we heal our past and come to the end of suffering.

Don't Hide your LIGHT

Don't hide your LIGHT, be PRESENT to others
Enveloped in Your Light, may I be a beacon to those in search of Light. Sheltered in Your Peace, may I offer shelter to those in need of peace. Embraced by Your Presence, so may I be present to others.

Clarification of Freud Definition of Ego

This was started out by a "quote" from Buddhism about how our "ego is like dust in our eyes."
Ron Alexander The Buddha talked about how our minds our thoughts get in our way, however, the "ego" is a modern psych. concept created by Freud. It has been distorted be "new age" thinkers into a dualistic devil, which goes completely against what Freud meant: "the conscious connection between the id (lower brain)and super ego (higher brain).

Dee Marlowe Yes ... Freud saw them as Systems but certainly NOT part of the brain!
Your correct Ron ... id, ego and super ego ... all ARE NEEDED actually, part of growth ... the idea is to become PARTNERS in life, not enemies!
Manage
Ron Alexander ID - LOWER BRAIN (snake brain) OR SURVIVAL ISSUES & Super Ego, Higher brain or Rational Thinking,
Manage
Dee Marlowe Yes dear ... but there ARE 3 ... not just 2 ...

Ron Alexander Meher Baba writes about the ego in his discourses, as how it is needed in our maturation, until we get to a point Spiritually where we don't need it any more.

Manage
Ron Alexander You mean 3 by Id, Ego and Superego right?

Manage
Ron Alexander O.K. According to Freud's model of the psyche, the id is the primitive and instinctual part of the mind that contains sexual and aggressive drives and hidden memories, the super-ego operates as a moral conscience, and the ego is the realistic part that mediates between the desires of the id and the super-ego.

Although each part of the personality comprises unique features, they interact to form a whole, and each part makes a relative contribution to an individual's behavior.
"id is the primitive and instinctual part of the mind - that is the lower part of the brain (upper part of spinal cord, nicknamed the snake brain) So one of three is not bad...Also, "mediatior" = "Conscious Connector" and the rational part of our brain is where we can make moral decisions.
