A "Holyween"' Message - Treat Everybody as If...

Treat Everyone As If they will be dead by Midnight

Treat everyone you meet as if he or she were going to be dead by midnight.
Extend to them all the care, kindness, and understanding you can muster,
and do so with no thought of reward. Your life will never be the same.

Nancy Odle: I have edited my news feed to see only the most inspiring and uplifting...this is great. I suggest everyone do this. Our thoughts, our lives are made up of what we think and how we treat others. There is no room in my life for any of the negative other stuff. Even reading the news once a week upsets me...:(Lisa Porter Ravenscraft: ♥ for you, Ron and appreciative of your words....

Giving? How Much?

Guest: How can I uplift my friends by sharing Spirit?

Uplifting others is really a very good way to spend your time that will reward you very well for your efforts. You cannot give something that you don't have, and you cannot have something that you don't believe you have. So in order to give something you must first believe that you have it, and you must believe that you have it in abundance. You must believe that your personal supply of what you are giving will be undiminished by your giving of it.

We are pretty sure that most of you have had the experience of going to cheer up a friend who's down in the dumps, and finding yourself dragged down by your efforts. You cannot match your vibration to the vibration of the one you wish to help and be of effectiveness. When you assist them, you should get in and out of there as quickly as need be. The longer you stay the more likely you are to be pulled in, just to be agreeable. And you can't help them by agreeing with them.

Remember, they too are powerful creators calling forth the Source Energy of the Universe into the forms they hold in imagination. Always acknowledge their power first before you enter. This will serve to protect you, and to empower them. They created it, they can uncreate it by building something else, something new, something better.

Your vibration has to be stronger than all the other vibrations in the room, and if you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen. Our point is don't ever sacrifice your vibration to raise that of another.

‎"Your vibration has to be stronger than all the other vibrations in the room, and if you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen. Our point is don't ever sacrifice your vibration to raise that of another."
Jeanne Porter Ashley: There is no limitation in vibrations, all is oneness and if we are not here to share and lift each other up -- one day A is up and B is down, next day B is up and A is down -- to form a loving balance of tribe and family -- then why are we here?
To me it speaks if dependence/co-dependence issues - dragging each other down with neediness! Wholeness/independence leads to a healthy inter-dependent relationship - helping without sacrificing one's integrity!

Give without needing anything in return. Neediness is a relationship-killer!
Jeanne Porter Ashley: A loving balance does not keep score of giving and receiving -- it is all love. And, makes for a beautiful limitless existence.
Ron Alexander: Right Jeanne, BALANCE is the key! Me being a Libra accentuates that - two independent Beings feeling whole and well together without dependence!
Relationships that are out of balance, means that the one who feels they are giving more and receiving less, needs to look at their own issues sometimes of being able to give and not to receive and/or may need to operate with stronger boundaries and tougher love!
Rob Jackson: From what I read I see it thus: Think of it in the same context as donating blood. You can only give so much without hurting yourself. You can give again another day; but there again, only so much. You can give a kidney, but on...ly one. Or a person who devotes all their time and effort into their work/job; after a while it consumes them and the rest of their life suffers. You leave work and drive straight through to Washington to see a friend. When you arrive you are exhausted and you "crash." You have to sleep and replenish yourself. Same thing with your personal energies/vibrations, you can only give so much without draining yourself.

Carol Boyles: It is telling you to be yourself. Do not be afraid to walk to the beat of a different drum. Being sure of yourself and not needing anyones approval to be yourself. What every bullied child needs to know

Rob Jackson: As far as relationships; there is an old saying that the one who loves the least, controls the relationship. This disgusts me. A relationship, in the big picture, must be a balance, a 50/50 proposition. You can not love and support a healthy, lasting relationship with out being able to love yourself first. When you don't, these are the times when (I believe) issues of dependency/codependency come into

Freedom & Joy are my Divine Birthrights

Spirit is forever Free!

FREEDOM & Joy are my Divine Birthright!
Just as joy, nobody can give you freedom of Spirit,
and no one can take away your freedom of Spirit.
FREEDOM!
As I continue to celebrate my birthday, I realize my Divine
birthright is "freedom, joy & good.
In the awareness that Spirit indwells my life. I know that my
Spirit is released from all lack & limitation. I understand and
accept the truth about myself. My physical body and my
objective affairs reflect the perfection that I feel, the wholeness
of which I am certain, and the glorious freedom that rightfully
belongs to me. I rejoice that my Spirit is forever Free."

Sail Away - Now more of an Internal Journey

‎"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." --Mark Twain
So glad I followed Mark Twain's advice, in joy life, ron

I am too glad that I sailed away young. Now, it is more of an interior "explore, dream & discover" and even more interesting!

Wynken, Blynken, and Nod (Dutch Lullaby)
by Eugene Field (1850-1895)

Wynken, Blynken, and Nod one night
Sailed off in a wooden shoe---
Sailed on a river of crystal light,
Into a sea of dew.
"Where are you going, and what do you wish?"
The old moon asked the three.
"We have come to fish for the herring fish
That live in this beautiful sea;
Nets of silver and gold have we!"
Said Wynken,
Blynken,
And Nod.

The old moon laughed and sang a song,
As they rocked in the wooden shoe,
And the wind that sped them all night long
Ruffled the waves of dew.
The little stars were the herring fish
That lived in that beautiful sea---
"Now cast your nets wherever you wish---
Never afeard are we";
So cried the stars to the fishermen three:
Wynken,
Blynken,
And Nod.

All night long their nets they threw
To the stars in the twinkling foam---
Then down from the skies came the wooden shoe,
Bringing the fishermen home;
'T was all so pretty a sail it seemed
As if it could not be,
And some folks thought 't was a dream they 'd dreamed
Of sailing that beautiful sea---
But I shall name you the fishermen three:
Wynken,
Blynken,
And Nod.

Wynken and Blynken are two little eyes,
And Nod is a little head,
And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies
Is a wee one's trundle-bed.
So shut your eyes while mother sings
Of wonderful sights that be,
And you shall see the beautiful things
As you rock in the misty sea,
Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three:
Wynken,
Blynken,
And Nod.

Everything is Occuring Exactly as It is Supposed to Be

INFINITE SUPPLY
Catherine Love

The Universe supplies you with everything you need today and all of your tomorrows too! There is enough for everyone, there is no need to hurry or force things to happen. Everything is occurring exactly as it should be.

Trust your inner wisdom and you will always know what to do, take action exactly when the time feels right for you. You are not on anyone's timetable but your own. You might feel an urging in promptings from spirit, as these are often the signs the angels will send to you, signaling for you to go forward now. Heed those feelings and trust in them, even on little resource, the universe will always sustain you.

Affirm often: "I have the infinite supply of the Universe available to me now"

Ra Divakar: Is this just "pablum" for the poor?
Ron Alexander: Interesting thought, Ra - in this age of income inequality - "...This was an indication that something was amiss in the mechanism that distributes income to different members of society. Workers were helping to increase the size of the pie, but income did not trickle down, and their share of the pie was no larger than before..."

we limit the process by our assumption

Law of Attraction?

What does Law of Attraction have to do with all of this?

The Law of Attraction is simply the glue that binds your universe together. It is the thing that draws together enough focused energy to eventually congeal into a physical state. Many of you are pursuing spiritual pathways which bring you closer to a direct knowing of All That Is. And because you have the idea, the belief, that spiri...tual things are different, or somehow superior to material things, you shy away from study of the Law of Attraction.

But the Law of Attraction is as spiritual as it gets. The Law of Attraction precedes your material world. And in order to learn what we call conscious creation, you must engage this on a spiritual level; on the plane of ideas, in the realm of thought-forms. Even those things that you call spiritual come to you by Law of Attraction. Enlightenment, divine aid, connecting with spiritual masters, these things are all drawn to you by your desire for them.

So you see, everything in your material world had its origin in thought, in the realm of the spiritual. Your material life is the expression in physical form of your spiritual life. “But”, you say, “there are a lot of things happening in this physical world that are anything but spiritual”. And we agree there are many things in this world that do not fit your idea of a good life.

But you are not the only creator here. And all the elements of a fine drama must be present in order to fulfill the wishes of all the co-creator's of this world. But now you see you are the director of your play. Choose the elements you wish to have in your world. And you choose them with your attention to them, either attention because you want them, or attention because you do not want them. The “evil” elements of this world are not evil, they are simply responding to the call of one of the creators.

So, keep your attention upon that which is good, that which you desire, that which you appreciate. Spend your day validating and expressing gratitude for the beautiful elements that are present in your world, and Law of Attraction will bring to you more and more that is desirable and beautiful and lovely.
Namaste,

Twelve

A most profound reply: Patricia Arnold: "Thanks for an LOA insight that reminds us that we are not wholly physical, and that we do not create from our physical beings. As souls, we have been creating throughout our eternal lives, and attracting corresponding experiences: One of the Law of Attraction secrets no one wants to talk about."

Celebrate Life Some Way Every Day - How I Celebrate?

The more you sense the rareness and value of your own life,
the more you realize that how you use it, how you manifest it,
is all your responsibility. We face such a big task, so naturally
we sit down for a while. Kobun Chino Otogawa Roshi
Ron Alexander: ‎"so naturally..." WE CELEBRATE LIFE!
Or...We face such a big task, so naturally
we sit down for a while.

That's why we're not going on the town to celebrate being alive. Instead we're attending to our mindstream — the repository of our karma with utmost diligence. To transform it not only for our own but for other's sake as well is a big task....

We do it knowing that nothing "out there" is the inherent source of our genuine happiness. Instead we realize that it is our inner positive way of being that is the happiness for ourselves and a condition for others' happiness.

As a human we have a rare capacity to choose our actions of the mind, speech and body, where each one begets a consequence.
We also contemplate the short window of this opportunity, we can't prevent the flow of change, including the inevitability of the end to our lifetime.
This energizes us to sit down for a while and give more attention to that which doesn't perish.

Ra Divakar: thanks Anatoly - "We face such a big task, so naturally
we sit down for a while."

Ron Alexander - How do I celebrate? Answer to Anatoly:
I celebrate when I sit in meditation. I celebrate my breath. I celebrate silence. I celebrate the senses of my body. I celebrate the movement of energy within and without. I celebrate the first taste of water, tea and an apple in the AM. I celebrate the lively dog who wants to go walking first thing. I celebrate nature - the wild woods and ocean nearby that Lil pulls me to. I celebrate the plants, the trees, the birds, the sand, the water, the waves, the other people and pets walking at the same time. I celebrate when Lil pulls me into jogging. Her appreciative response to me when I feed her on return. I celebrate the thoughtful message from Anatoly and my ability to respond rather than react. I celebrate the creative thoughts of how and where I can plant the new beach rose, I purchased yesterday at Unity yard sale. I celebrate the changing of the thermostat from cool to heat this AM - the changing of the season. I celebrate the surging feeling of peaceful blissful energy in my body as I sit here at the computer finishing this first response. I celebrate my gratefulness to Anatoly's profound comment! More later...

When I turned 67 Oct. 14, I promised myself I would celebrate every day in some way. I am carrying on with this promise, and it has added a lot of fun and joy to my life. I did the extravagant thing going out and buying a wooden skiff the day after my birth day, however, it is usually short and sweet like taking the grateful dog for a walk, or a close friend out to a meal - sometimes breakfast, lunch but usually dinner. I have found out which ones give out the best desserts for birthdays, and enjoyed those. Checking out art gallaries, comedy improv clubs & anniverseries for nice new age stores, music venues, gardens, butterflies, birds - insisting on personal space when I need it - often! Walking in the rain, wading in mudpuddles, creating ideas for celebrating - going to surprise my friend with breakfast a waterfront cafe overlooking a marina full of nice boats. Walking around the docks afterwards checking the boats out and interesting sailors who live on them - getting in a nautical conversation if they appear to have the time.
I enjoy staying in an cooking up a creative meal also.
Just thinking about how I am going to fix up my new wooden skiff - varnish, paint, carved wooden figurehead, may make a sail boat out of her helps me celebrate.
Other creative projects, art or writing or poetry or music or dance or some of each. Just formulating this blog in my mind helps me enjoy life some more. What do you do to celebrate life even if in a small way?

"Come as a child again, to enter the gates of heaven."

The more you sense the rareness and value of your own life,
the more you realize that how you use it, how you manifest it,
is all your responsibility. We face such a big task, so naturally
we sit down for a while.

Love Yourself Unconditionally First

J. says she has to have someone to unconditionally love her. I feel too much pressure in our relationship, as the dependency issues roll over into economic & physical ones too. ..

‎"True love does not come from finding the perfect person but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly." Jack London(?)

October 14Ron Alexander:
Yep, just got back from great music at Pawley's Island. J. is going a different way - perfect! Great Birthday!..
L:Brian went to roanoke today to sign up some kid. He's about three hours out but stopped to take a nap. I'm celebrating the birth of mu new drum tomorrow. I'm hooked on drumming. I'm going to white horse black mountain on Sunday for a drum circle. Let me know when you guys are having another and we'll see if we van make it.
..
October 14L: Are you saying what I think you are saying? If so, you sound ok with it. You gonna be ok?..
October 15L:The birthing process is never easy Ron. Just love yourself and every thought and emotion that comes up. Embrace it all. I just went through it too. Hang in there and let the love in. Allow yourself to feel your pain. I love you and J. and wrap you both in divine love...
Ron Alexander
Thanks so much L. I am hoping that our relationship will transform to a peaceful loving kindness supportive friendship - today was a good start...in joy, ron..
L:The biggest thing that Brian and I have found is respecting eachothers viewpoint and not making it right or wrong yet at the same time being open to new or different perspectives. We can still get heated! LOL usually one of us getting defensive. The most important relationship is the one with self. When you get up in the morning look in the mirror and say to yourself, how can I best serve you today. Then give it to yourself. As we all learn how to nurture ourselves, we have more than enough to nurture others. Now leave yourself alone and just love all of the awesomeness you are. You guys are fine, one day at a time. I love you both!..

Ron:
That's some awesome wisdom, - think about doing workshops for couples...losalove, ron..
L:Thanks ron, it had crossed my mind along with many other ideas! Big hugs..

Ron Alexander: Live without pretending Love without depending Listen without defending Speak without offending
B: ‎^^i love this, Ron^^
Ron Alexander: Me too, B - dependency issues can kill a relationship as my friend Lisa Jones says "you have to love yourself first."
Ron Alexander: The photo depicts a Mother/Father child relationship not a equal interdependent adult relationship - "co-dependence" is toxic!

Even though I have read & heard about "loving yourself" first, it is almost an epiphany (really feeling it for first time) for me - that we can't depend on anyone else to unconditionally love us, we need to at least have the intention to love ourselves unconditionally!

The God of Unconditional Love
“If the world were taught of this God, the world w...ould change. Yet, where are the courageous spiritual leaders who will give up the God of fear to teach about the God of unconditional love?

Could you be one of them? Spiritual leaders do not have to be members of the clergy. Regular, ordinary, everyday people can be spiritual leaders. . . .

Above all, be at ease, be as natural and spacious as possible. Slip quietly out of the noose of your habitual anxious self, release all grasping, and relax into your true nature. Unexpected vs. Expected Joys - My Boat Won!

Talk about the joys of the unexpected,
can they compare with the joys of the expected,
of finding everything delightfully and
completely what you knew it was going to be?
Elizabeth Bibesco
Balloons

Yesterday, as a continuation of my birthday, I attended a wooden boat show in Georgetown, S. C. with the intention of finding a small skiff as a gift to myself.
I enjoyed looking around the smaller boats and speaking with the builders. However, even more, I enjoyed dialoging with the captains on the larger boats docked on the waterfront. Old sailors like good seagoing tales.
After not being able to buy the beautiful varnished skiffs I wanted - the most handsome boats are priceless to their owners after they had spent so many hours renovating them to fine shine and delicate details. I went into the boatbuilding area where boat builder are given materials to build their skiff in 4 hours time, and then race against each other. Observing them, I noticed a good-looking couple finishing up their "Carolina Bateau" in three hours. Talking to them I found out this was the second boat building and they were from my former scenic homeport also historic Beaufort, N. C. So I had alot to talk with them about. I asked them what they planned to do with the bateau, and they told me that they had already finished the first boat, and it was at home, and so they wanted to sell it. After receiving a good price, I paid them automatically becoming a part of their crew. I helped them carry it across the street to the harbor (Winyah Bay) through the crowded wharf - so crowded that it was hard to get the boat through. Then I got to photograph the race with about 15 boats competing. My boat was built by "Chaos Team" - the gracious builders Lora & Vic. They had to take turn rowing and they both turned out to be very strong rowers. Lora was a big fan favorite as she was the best out of only two females rowing out of 30 builders. I got to help move the boats around as there were 2 heats with only room for 3 boats at a time. When it came to the last heat, Vic & Lora were in second place and in a thrilling finish, the other boat hit the dock first, and I had thought they had won. However, I found out the one to first touch the dock with their hand was the winner, and I had not watched for that, and neither did Vic & Lora. We knew it was a 1 or 2 second difference whoever won. So I proudly helped them carry their boat amongst the crowd back to their truck. Then we went back to the tent to the congratulations of the judges and fans that they had won! - My boat won! However, I rejected their "Chaos" name, as I do not plan to race but to enjoy peace in nature rowing it in the beautiful creeks, rivers, harbors of this coastal area. I think I will call the Bateau "Serenity".
Talking about "unexpected joys" - that was yesterday a gift to myself for my 67th birthday!

October 14 Birthday Horoscope

If Today is Your Birthday: October 14

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Year Ahead
Forecast for October 2010 to October 2011

If You Were Born Today, October 14: You have a great interest in, and eye for, form and structure. You would make a good architect, interior decorator, designer, or any profession that combines art and structure. You are highly intelligent, with strong "right brain" and "left brain" skills. You have a mischievous, almost childlike side to you, and your creativity is potent. You make success look easy, but the truth is, you are very willing to work hard for it. Responsible and determined, once you determine the life path you want for yourself, you go for it. Famous people born today: Usher, e. e. cummings, Ralph Lauren, Thomas Dolby.

Your Birthday Year Forecast: When a Quarter Moon occurs in your Return chart, as it does this year, you are at some sort of a turning point in your life, in terms of personal growth. Events that occur this year act as catalysts that get you in touch with some important issues in your emotional life. Your emotions run high, and mood swings or identity crises are possible. There may be some kind of conflict in your life arising from a great urge to do something different. The year ahead promises to be a busy, dynamic, and significant period in your life.

Busy, busy, busy! You have a lot to do this year. At times, you may feel like the pace of your life is running ahead of you. You can be especially productive, however, in all types of communications--writing, speaking, learning, teaching, and so forth.

You might find that you become more goal-oriented, as superficial goals no longer satisfy you. You want your life path and your objectives to reflect what you're really about, and you are likely to rid yourself of unsatisfying goals this year. You benefit from being more decisive than usual, and your ability to concentrate and focus help you to achieve what you set out to do. A new project or goal begun this year has a good chance of being successful and long-lasting.

Your love nature is deeper and more intense this year. While you crave intimacy, you might also feel uncomfortable if you feel smothered. Contradictory needs from love are the result as you explore your relationships.

You have much enthusiasm and zeal towards the projects you are involved in this year, which may involve reviving old hobbies or causes. You could move mountains when it comes to pushing your projects ahead. You demonstrate dedication and focus, and often find yourself taking care of unfinished business.

Your faith in your ability to produce and to win takes you places you perhaps never imagined. You are able to see the "big picture", which helps you to plan effectively. Negotiations, deals, legal matters, reasonable speculation, competitive activities, including sports and business, and travel are generally favored this year.

Jupiter joined with Uranus is also found in your Solar Return chart, and this suggests the need for progressive change in your life. You might take risks (perhaps, but not necessarily, foolish ones) for the sake of freedom. You are open to new energies, approaches, and attitudes. Fortunate events occur as a direct result of your willingness to entertain the unusual and to think outside of the box. Enthusiasm runs high, the desire for freedom from restrictions is strong, and thirst for adventure is with you.

A busy year is ahead. You demonstrate much enthusiasm and dedication for the projects you're involved in this year. You tend to focus on specific goals and tasks and make much headway as a result. Relationships are highly stimulating, sometimes up and down, and a focal point for you.

2010 is a Number Nine year for you. Ruled by Mars. This is a year of completion and transition. It is a time when we need to let go of things that no longer serve their purpose, and hold on to things that have a future. It is a time of cleaning out dead wood, not necessarily for new beginnings. It can be a time when a burden has been taken off your shoulders, and it can be a year of giving of yourself. Advice - let go of things that are holding you back, give of yourself and express your sympathetic, compassionate side.

2011 will be a Number One year for you. Ruled by the Sun. This is a year of action. The seeds you plant now, you will reap later. Others might find you less sociable, as you are busier than ever and you focus on your activities and your needs. Still, you are outgoing and your initiative is stronger than ever. Advice - Stand alone, take action, start fresh, express independence.

Gorgeous nights and days at beach

Spectacular light show over ocean night before last - lightning a few miles out, full moon, reflections of moon on roaring waves, planet, lights of shrimp & casino boats - brilliant refreshment!
Nice brisk wind blowing at beach today - kite surfers (one upside down photo) flying high, birds enjoying, and even a biplane flew over a few times. The kite surfers are amazing going up to 35 mph and flying occasionally up to 10 to 15 ft. flipping sometimes - spectacularly gorgeous day!

Happy Thank You

Happiness is not what makes us grateful.
It is gratefulness that makes us happy.

A Listening Heart

Valuable Meditation Advice Creativity Lessening Fears

When you practice meditation you are listening to the still small voice of God guiding and directing you with inspirations, pictures and feelings to manifest in your life. Many times we receive these inspirations and intuition and we ignore them or discard them as being unattainable. They are there in your thoughts for a reason. Trust in the Divine to guide you to actualize your individual purpose. This doesn't mean that you don't make a plan and try to carry it out step by step. It means that you work your plan but keep it flexible enough to make the corrections that God will give you. Walk the path, read the environment and listen for guidance. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

Fear of 'principalities' when in meditation blocks the creative flow and distracts one from the bliss and joy of Oneness. Trusting in the Divine requires faith in its presence which eliminates fear and initiates the process of complete creative fulfillment. Focus on the devil and he will be real to you. Focus on the Divine and the cornucopia of an abundant life replete with prosperity will abound! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

I have a hard time with the "No Fear" images, as I think we (at least me) will always have some fear realistically. Fear serves a survival purpose, helping one to be safe for oneself and for others. I think that "lessening" unreasonable fear is an excellent attitude, and better yet being aware of the fear and not letting it stop you is the best mindset.
When I dare to be powerful --
to use my strength
in the service of my vision,
then it becomes less and less
important whether I am afraid.

Geraldo and Fox run away from Wall Street

faux fat cat propaganda
this is awesome - Fox News being run out with chanting "fox news lies"& drumming accompaning -
I do feel kinda sorry for Geraldo, as he started out as an activist, and is one of the fairest on fox. And he is fellow sailor - met him while he was sailing around the world. He generously sent me video tape of the pink dolphins swimming in the Amazon for a maritime film festival. I would not be surprised if he did not quit & join protest.

tter: “Why are we protesting? Our grievances are as numerous and diverse as our supporters. From rising costs in health care to overwhelming student debt to the gross mishandling of the mortgage crisis to the rapidly-growing national debt to the protection of criminals with certain political and corporate ties, the vast majority of Americans are fed up with "the system" and how it favors the "1%" of power holders who have unfair and undeserved influence in the political process.”

We are More and We are One

We are more than just physical beings,
we are whispers of Love dancing in the ...breeze.
We are spiritual beings on a path of loving service,
where if we pay attention the sacred Earth wisdom
within will direct our destinies to a place of peace
where Joy and Love abound. Embrace how beautiful
you are and you make your life a garden of grace
and beauty. We are Love and Love is the
Light within that guides our way.
