Forget the Conspiracy Paranoia

John Madric The steel doesn't melt. It weakens and is able to carry less load. Then the beams buckle causing the buildings to collapse. There's nothing unusual about how or why the WTC buildings came done. A very basic understanding of engineering principles is all that's needed. It's why fire stairs are never made of steel. Because they fail during a fire.

  • Ra Divakar Also, the WTC buildings were the first high risers to be built from prefab floors - one floor one week at a time. I met an old time fireman who watched it being built this way and was not surprised it fell down!
