Grateful for Ego

Photo: ~► “Ego & gratitude are mutually exclusive

I am grateful for my ego, so there is equanimity, Peace. The ego is our Earth's guide(Gary Zukav) It keeps you safe wihile driving, walking, cooking, swimming - any activity your body is involved. The key is balance - an ego not too strong and definitely not weak!

Both body and ego is required while here in earth - the healthier the better!

Ra Divakar Yes, that is wholeness Ron! Otherwise one is living in duality!

  • RevDeborah A Frenette YES! Handle the ego like a faithful servant and you will be able to serve God. Deny the ego and run the gamut of trials. Some ACIM students cannot grasp this concept.

  • Ron Alexander So true Rev. & I studied under Bill Thetford while working with Jerry Jampolsky at the Center for Attitudinal Healing when it was in Tiburon, CA. Bill, blissful in the last year of his life told us when we questoned him about the demonization of the ego and the body in ACIM would tell us to "tear out those pages" while giggling in his peaceful Joy!

  • Ron Alexander That was a long time ago in 1985-86. Dr. Jampolsky was smart enough not to include those toxic concepts in his Principles! I really learned alot from ACIM mainly "Love is letting go of fear, Love is the essence of our being, in my defenselessness our safety lies, and that we all have that Essence to join with...and more"! So I am grateful to ACIM and to Bill, who really embodied the Essence! He stated that he never "felt so free" just before dropping his body in Tiburon.
