Love that fails is just as much a part of divine life as an act of love that succeeds,...

An act of love that fails is just as much a part of the divine life as an act of love that succeeds, for love is measured by its own fullness, not by its reception.

W.H. Auden wrote on the eve of World War II: We must love one another or die. Not loving isn't just the end of life, it's a thousand cuts made each day when a loving act, a few loving words
are lost whether thru chaos, fear, selfishness, ignorance or greed. A moment of love, a gesture, small or epic in scale, is a moment of LIFE AFFIRMED. A big YES!
