Another brilliant affimative poem by Jeff Foster on the Present!

Friend,
When thoughts and sensations feel unbearable.
When you cannot hold yourself up.
When hope dies.
Notice, you are held.
By the Earth.
By the hills and mountains, rivers and oceans.
By the vastness of Space.
By a loving, soft Presence,
closer than breathing,
nearer than the most intimate lover.
Even when you cannot "bear it".
Even when you reach your limits.
Even when your strength fails
and you cannot find surrender.
The Earth has surrendered to you.
You are already held.
In the loving arms
of the Present.
Even when it's unbearable,
you are already being borne.
