How can we use "parts" to admit our bad behaviour instead of scapegoating the "ego"?

Ron Alexander Agree even if you think you ego is your enemy, love it anyway as a great Sage has taught us. Don't separate any part from love!
How do we comment on little "selfs" behavior vs. Self instead of scapegoating the ego all the time. Well, we have many parts to us - all the inner children. plus the proud part, the judge part, the critic, the survivalists part, the victim part, the competitive part, the capitalist part, the socialist part, even the racist and Nazi part, and the deeply spiritual SELF. How do we recognize and identify what part is causing the difficulty, confusion or the separation? Our Unity Minister talked about how his "ego" caused him to "judge" this transsexual minister, until he got to know her. Well really the "ego" - how about "my inner judge" - helps you to look at how the "judge" helps us too = to keep us safe, to prioritize, to help us keep what company we want, to separate good behavior from bad behavior. How do we love our "judge" - mine could be promoted to the supreme court lol! I spoke to a business man the other day about how "I lied because of my pride." this was about an expensive marine part that I wanted to return. He had asked me previously how I liked it, and I told me "it was great", when in fact I had never used it. The understanding man gave me all my money back anyway, which I really needed at the time!  It is easy to love my prideful part, we always want to take pride in our work, don't we? And I really take pride in being a good sailor.

Richard Kent Matthews: Ego simply means 'I' and a sense of self. Ego is not distinct from the creature. All is ego. Even a sense of spirit is ego sensing.
Ron Alexander: Yes, thanks Rev. Richard Kent Matthews, we could not even be present without our "ego". Freud who invented the concept defined ego as the "conscious part that translated the id - our primitive survival (lower snake or alligator brain) to our Superego - our Self! Most are speaking of the concept of the "id" when they think of the ego as the devil (dualistic thinking at its worst) yet we could not survive without the lower brain "id" either! No part of us is junk!

Ron Alexander Furthermore, my "sermon" continues lol, the "ego" is used in "new age" ministries like the "devil" is used in fundamentalist religions. The "ego" made me do it!
