No Mistake! Start the day guilt-free...

My teacher, Byron Katy, started off with out all the spiritual/new age/psychological jargon that most of us have in California in the 80's. She had an amazing transformation from an awesome epiphany while being in a recovery house, after a career as a self-described angry real estate agent in her humble hometown of Barstow, Ca. - in the middle of the Mojave Desert on Rt. 66. She gathered a bunch of us - writers, teachers, therapists at her spacious home compound, as she was developing her effective "Turn-around Process", which she called "The Work"! Katy,
kept hear us saying the greeting "Namaste'", which means loosely "the Light in me connects with the Light in you". Innocently, she thought we were saying "no mistake", which is equally an inspiring, affirmative greeting.
Living in the moment, we can let go of all "mistakes" from the past. Even in the Bible, a verse directs us to "forgive & forget". So, I choose to start this day feeling refreshed, joyous, peaceful and grateful to Byron Katy for that particular "Katyism" - No Mistake!

Sananda Allsgood:
Loving What Is...A Tribute to Byron Katie

On the path through life
We turn corners and climb hills
There are things we consider obstacles
And also blessings

We judge our life as good and bad
We judge our life as right and wrong
People tell us we are not perfect
That we make mistakes

I believe we make no mistakes
I believe we can do no wrong or right
And I do believe we are a work of perfection
That only our learned judgements color
The decision we make, those actions we take
And the stress we live under.

If we truly desire to live free
I believe we have to shed those learned judgements
To allow everyone to walk the path that they are on
Without our colors to blind the vision of perfection
That we are all living.
