I was in California, but my cousin had roof blown off in house that was near Coast Guard Station South of Broad Charleston.

It was devastating - this was Ben Sawyer Bridge from Mt. Pleasant to Sullivan's I. - never to be replaced.
 Many boats washed up on Goat I. from other side of Intracoastal Waterway from Isle of Palms. Many homes destroyed. McClellan - homes and high school under 9 feet of water plus almost all boats washed up on shore.
