that is Wonder lake 30 miles from the base. I camped there in 1969. And because of the heavy clouds (a usual condition), I could not see the big mountain. As I was watching, a moose carrying her baby on her back swam across the big lake. My buddy and I were watching for the peak near sunset hoping the clouds would part, Finally they did, but we were looking at about 30 degress, and I pointed out the peak at about 45 degrees - that was an impressive sight!
