I think this art/tea garden in Mill Valley has the right idea, they serve tea freely with comfortable seating and lounging areas even a hammock, and the manager encourages intelligent dialogues. That large Tiki Redwood sculpture costs $3500 and a small one is $300 plus there are many metal sculptures, which I did not even bother to price. I guess the philosophy is to create a beautiful setting, attract artists, writers and other intellectuals, and the money will come - sounds good!
