love Yourself: What I think of myself will reflect on how I treat and look at others ~ ♥ ♥
Lisa Jones:
You know we all hear growing up to have compassion, love and kindness. Why do we assume that it is for everyone and then exclude ourselves? That we are not worthy? Watch your mind, the words and judgements you have about yourself. Now, play the opposite game or reverse psychology. How does that feel??? Now that's what I'm sayin'...kickin' ain't it! Love yourself! Peace out! ♥ ♥ ♥
Ron Alexander: You are the Light of the World, so unconditional love for yourself is in order, right? & "I AM!" I am so grateful, Lisa - Hi Pam!

Ron: Great quote (thanks Jeannie) - I am going to share it! Reminds me of "We are created to love and be loved." by Ma T. .
Ankith Lord:
Because:) Love is the answer, and if there is a question, it is do you love yourself?
Noy: I love myself. In doing so, I am rest assured that I could give much more to those around me. Loving-kindness (multiplied in multitudes) ... given/shared - as it radiates and ripples and bounces back; cycled in hundred-folds (clusters upon clusters --- aplenty!!!). Wow! LOVE all over ... everywhere ... striking everyone with sweet punch each time. I'm right now > in state of dream ... in state of bliss. How truly very cool!!!! LOVE-JOY-LOVE-JOY ... I love you WORLD!!!

thanks Ron for all his gifts of healing...spent time at his home and walked the beach...talked late into the night and experienced the Oneness Blessing, Loving Kindness yoga, Unity book club on the book Buddha's Brain, Ran Dass's new book Be Love Now, Pat Conroy in person, and, good food to nourish the body. Jeanne Porter Ashley likes this.Ron Alexander I was able to use Pat Conroy's book character "The Boo" today at Susan's Unity Light workshop (excellent) to demonstrate "Tough Love" - how the gruff Col. disciplinarian at The Citadel was beloved by Pat's fellow cadets, because he was fair, though tough, and they knew he had compassion underneath all that gruff appearance.
Jeanne Porter Ashley: Ron, how perfect...I think that decree is delightful! ♥
Blessing must arise from within your own mind. It is not something that comes from outside. When the positive qualities of your mind increase and the negativities decrease, that is what blessing means. The Tibetan word for blessing … means transforming into magnificent potential. Therefore, blessing refers to the development of virtuous qualities you did not previously have and the improvement of those good qualities you have already developed. ― Dalai Lama XIV

Satsang Potpourri with Mooji
Mooji is Light - wisely very funny! What problem? Followers go up to him in satsang and laugh so hard they forget what their question is...
Mindfulness, Equanimity, & Grace All the Same?
Mindfulness = Equanimity = Grace to me. When I meditate alot, I get into mindfulness which means I am in the moment and achieving things effortlessly, creatively with peacefulness and a sense of accomplishment. Isn't that the same qualities as Equanimity & Gracefulness?
Robyn Summers-Shelley: nothing of real worth can be bought... love.. friendship.. honour.. valour.. respect.. all these things have to be earned.............
Ron Alexander: Thank God for Loving Grace - no need for buying or "earning" - just Accepting! In all due respect, Robyn, how do you define "Grace"? It is a tricky hard to understand Concept. Thank you, dear One, I appreciate you.
Robyn Summers-Shelley: not sure about that one either Ron??????........something that comes to mind ...there for the grace of god go i........."
Everyday Grace" or Brother Lawrence's "God's Presence Everywhere" or something like that. Brother L. wrote it a few hundred years ago. He was a "lower" Monk, who had to scrub floors, clean bathrooms, and he saw God in all of his activites and wrote this little book about it, that still shows up in bookstoresman."
Jeanne Porter Ashley: Everyday Grace is present within, without, permeates, all pervading...no effort..it is. Thanks, Ron, thanks! In LOVE, Jeanne♥
Ron: Is Grace simply the gift of being completely present?
Bunni Vaughan Healy: I don't think it is. I have some control over being present or not. I can work on that and change how often and how deeply I can be in that state. I consider grace to be that illusive miracle energy that I can't make happen myself. It is a free gift. Unwarranted by anything I can see or cause.
Peggy Young Portmaybe Grace helps us BE present ... by expanding in love.
Ron Alexander: Thanks for your thoughtful answers HoniOniBunni & Peggy. What about this question- Is the feeling/energy of Grace simply the gift of being simply completely present. I know if I am in mindfulness after meditating, I am in equanimity and that "feels" like Grace to me.
Peggy Young Port ~ Personally, I think anytime we expand in Love, it's Grace (from Grace, in Grace, and creating Grace). --Irregardless of how we get there (expanded). And meditation is a good way to get there, right?
Ron Alexander: Thanks again Peggy, I do appreciate your wisdom. Indeed, meditation/prayer/affirmation (I do them all while sitting) is the best way I find to get to the "feeliing" of Love, which I also call equanimity, (peace, love & joy in balance) & bliss (a combo of peace, love & joy). I usually even give myself a nice foot massage after the hour of sitting. And then I am buzzing with Mindful Energy, which I am calling Grace for now?

Wealth is not Possession
O how I laugh when I think of my vague indefinite riches.
No run on my bank can drain it, for my wealth
is not possession but enjoyment.
Henry David Thoreau
Noy Traba-g: Serendipity! That was just one of the best topic I had with 'our' friend the other day. She's had almost 'the all' during her peak days - down to near 'zero' (which she made happen methodically). And I totally agree. I still have a long... way to go (whoever knows?), but I'd be doing the same (knowing that I'm only going to be needing 1/12th or even lesser of what I have now). Now focusing and geared on the meaty task of downsizing (decluterring - clearing, giving up and giving away); attachment has to be totally 'executed'. Few places in mind (nearby Buddhist temple, charitable institutions, few friends and loved ones, the neighbors, etc.). In that particular order. Just the thought of doing it gives me such joy. Liberating, indeed. And when that time comes (in the early part of next year), I know I'm also going to be experiencing that same freeing feeling - the time when the job is fully done. In actual fact, I had already been practicing it. Detachment > leading to inner happiness ... pure JOY! Pooschka!!!Veronica Walker: Wealth...what is it without compassion for those in need, what is it without love in your heart and kindness in your actions....Lili Jacob enjoyment of posession...that is one wealth. great Post!
Mark Stone: RON ...You are great....Hope to meet you here or on the other side....Mark
Ron Alexander: Thanks Noy, Veronica, Lili & Mark - The best & most beautiful things in life are not things.
Ron Alexander: "Success does not mean the accumulation of wealth, the maintenance of position, or a supremacy of power. Success means a life free from the burden of anxiety, liberated from fear." Ernest Holmes
Jeanne Porter Ashley: >"Success means a life free from the burden of anxiety, liberated from fear." --- that also can be one definition of loving awareness, don't you believe? ♥
Ron Alexander: Yes, thank you Jeannie - Equanimity too!
Lacy Hardee: How can the man with so much be poor and the man with so little be rich? The difference is simple. One man is grateful for nothing. The other sees blessings everywhere. What is the secret to true wealth? A wealth that can never be taken away on the ups and downs of the stock market and business cycle? Gratitude...

Dalai Lama - words of compassion/inspiration
Dalai Lama
Every day, think as you wake up,
today I am fortunate to be alive,
I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it.
I am going to use all my energies to develop myself,
to expand my heart out to others;
...to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.
I am going to have kind thoughts towards others.
I am not going to get angry or think badly about others.
I am going to benefit others as much as I can.
- The Dalai Lama
According to my own experience, the highest level of inner calm comes from the development of love and compassion. The more concerned we are with the happiness of others, the more we increase our own well-being. Friendliness and w...armth towards others allow us to relax and help us to dispel any sense of fear or insecurity so we can overcome whatever obstacles we face.
Enlightenment:
A single rose can be my garden...a single friend, my world

BE LOVE NOW - Love is a State of Being (Unconditional love of one's self is the entrance to Oneness)
BE LOVE NOW - a new book by Ram Dass! "Ram Dass is one of our greatest teachers, with BE LOVE NOW, he shares his profound discovery that Love is a state of being, not a trip from here to there." Deepak Chopra "40 years after BE HERE NOW, Ram Dass shares his life experience, a timeless teaching on love and spiritual awareness." Purchased it today on the way to study BUDDHA'S BRAIN. Never got to BUDDHA'S BRAIN - could not put this important book down. Chp.1: THE PATH OF THE HEART (Unconditional love for one's self is the entrance to Oneness) "...Unconditional love really exists in each of us. Its part of our deep inner being. It is not so much an active emotion as a state if being. It's not 'I love you'for this or that reason, not 'I love you, if you love me.' It's love for no reason. love without an object. It's just sitting in love, a love that incorporates the chair and the room and permeates everything around. The thinking mind is extinguished in love.
If I go into that place in me that is love and you go into that place where you are love, we are together in love. Then you and I are truly in love, the state of BEING LOVE. That's the entrance to Oneness..."
Noy Traba-g: "Only that in you which is me can hear what I'm saying."
~ Baba Ram Dass
Bunni Vaughan Healy: I need to get that. I had "Be Here Now" up until just a couple of years ago when Ken loaned it to someone. What a treasure that was.
Ron Alexander: LOVE ON, RIGHT NOW! thanks, HoniOnieBunni! Yes, I have been in the audience of "Baba" Ram Dass, when he was playing "Guru" in the 70's and before that he was Dr. Richard Albert(?) "researching/experimenting" LSD with Timothy Leary. Then in 80's, I was helping with his Seva project in Nepal from California. He has gone through some great transitions, so I am looking forward to reading that book - Another BOOK GROUP forming?
Joseph Campbell -- "Jesus was crucified because he said, 'I and the Father are one.' Well, the ultimate mystical experience is of one's identity with the divine power. That's the sense of the Chandogya Upanishad saying which says 'You are It.' That divinity which you seek outside, and which you first become aware of because you recognize it outside, is actually your inmost being."
All is One - There is only the illusion of being separate.
Ellen M Raines: yes, so very true ... and I must admit, it scares me a bit! ... lol>Ron Alexander: Ellen, where we are joined is our Essence, our Divinity and is Love. Love casts out all fear. Thanks for posting this Jeanne.
Jeanne Porter Ashley: Ellen -- I know what you mean, Lady! It is scary to understand this -- it IS a HUGE change from 'normal' -- which I know you aren't! Love you, Lady!
Ron, the recognition of that joining on so many levels is truly Unconditional Love and wha...t a CONNECTION! that is! BEING LOVE!
"LOVE thy enemy is not just a
story of being LOVE without conditions or remembering our ONENESS.
Remember that your thoughts are creative, so if you send them LOVE,
you will create reasons for LOVING them. Anything you think is
creating what you focus on. So what do you want to experience"~Bent

11-11 - Oneness can become norm like Whales in the Water
Hello All, In case you could not get into the New Reality Website, here is what they sent to me..
Much Love to all your Hearts for being Co creators in a New Reality when Oneness is the norm we live from, like fish in water. Debra

This is a true story of how we can right our relationship with all life and receive one of the greatest gifts in return.... gratitude.

YOU.. vs WHALE
...The Whale... If you read a recent front page story of the San Francisco Chronicle, you would have read about a female humpback whale who had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines. She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line tugging in her mouth. A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farallon Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed an environmental group for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so bad off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her. They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her. When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, and nudged them, pushed them gently around as she was thanking them. Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives. The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth said her eyes were following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.
May you, and all those you love, be so blessed and fortunate to be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you. And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude.
I pass this on to you, my friends, in the same spirit.

Thankful for "Kingdom being at hand" - A Divine Hand Massage
I read a couple of verses last night that included "The Kingdom being at hand" & "...in your right hand are pleasures forevermore." This could have set up Spirit giving me a gentle ecstatic hand massage after I went to bed. I woke up in much bliss around 3am and noticed my hand sticking up beside my pillow was being sweetly rubbed. I just lied there in twilight sleep just taking it in, smiling & luxuriating in Spirit's Healing.
I am so grateful that the Kingdom of God - Heaven is right here right now!
"Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." Matthew 6:10
I think there is reality and there is Reality, illusions and Reality. The problem is if one thinks that this world is illusion & the next life or dimension is better, then one will not value this life as much. This forward thinking leads to things like the "manifest destiny" and suicide bombing because "paradise" is awaiting.
Craig wrote:
"It is all real to me. It is my knowledge that we are multidimensional beings.
This allows for infinite variables in experience and consciousness. None of it
more or less real than any other. There is no divine rule that says the
experience or consciousness has to be consistent for us all, for it to be real
or for it to be meaningful. Nothing is wasted. All lends to Divine intent. All
get the experience they require. Even the darkest of the dark serves Divine
purpose. This is a definition of Oneness in my consciousness. If we have to
call it illusion, then fine. But if we are saying in calling it illusion that it
has no purpose or value, that is not truth. There is nothing without purpose or
it would not be perceptive to consciousness. The omnipotent, omnipresent
Consciousness that we are one with does not bother to perceive anything without
purpose."

ACIM false ideas & Better Ideas
"The dreams you think you like would hold you back as much as those in which the fear is seen. For every dream is but a dream of fear, no matter what the form it seems to take. The fear is seen within, without, or both. Or it can be disguised in pleasant form. But never is it absent from the dream, for fear is the material of dreams, from which they all are made." - ACIM
.Unity Walker Oh, yes! Even the pleasantest of dreams in this world distract us from Reality, for in chasing after them we betray our fear of that which would set us free if we would only turn and face it in love.
I am inspired by so many ideas from ACIM, however the above thoughts and any body/ego demonizing thoughts, I find hurtful to Life!

Trying to make this finite world a "better place" is like trying to sweep a beach free of sand. But realize it is a mirage and that behind the mirage there is a reality and that you and your brethren, living inside the Creator ARE that REALITY, LOVE, in the Universe IT made, and the sand and the beach will disappear, leaving behind only the reality. AUM, AMEN, I AM.
Ron Alexander: God is in the sand and the beach, and living near one,leave the sand and beach alone - don't mess with Nature - Heaven can be here on Earth, thank God!
Better Ideas:
Craig Moriarty:
To say that all that appears is illusion, is a consciousness of negation. Oneness is a consciousness of inclusion. The two are not reconcilable.
Tree L. Bolling: It is what it is!
Benny Silverman: So then true inclusion would have to also include all that isn't. Do I understand you correctly? After all, an illusion really isn't, is it?
Craig Moriarty: There is nothing that isn't. All is.
Benny Silverman: Is it possible that all appearances do deceive? Quantum physics is now raising some serious questions about the reality of what seems to appear.
Ron Alexander "What you see is what you get." Flip Wilson
Craig Moriarty: I agree that we do create our experience Benny. I just see the Divine purpose in doing so. As we evolve in consciousness so does the quality of our experience. Nothingness just bores the shit out of me. That why I Am creating still.
Gilbert Schultz: The appearance of things is a trace of energy patterns. Things are not what they appear to be. Consciousness is neither affirming or negating. It includes both. Awareness is non dual and is beyond duality.
Alex Ashot Ikilikian: I deeply know and feel that my way into Oneness is through all-inclusive Love ♥
Gilbert Schultz: Start with that and the way in is unnecessary.
Tree L. Bolling: Anything that could ever be is waiting on our focus. Our attention is what creates "what is" out of "what could be." Options to choose from are endless.
Gilbert Schultz: That is just another concept believed in. Silent, wordless reality is never altered by words or belief.
Alex Ashot Ikilikian: Consciousness is Everything... there is Nothing but Consciousness... there is also a Divine Paradox- the Gate to Infinity where mind fails to understand, that's where we drop the mind to enter the Ecstasy of Infinity ♥
Gilbert Schultz: No one enters. You are already there. it is only belief that suggests the 'terrain'.
Alex Ashot Ikilikian: Yes, agree Gilbert :)) that's what I mean words fail to describe what Spirit wants to say... The language is built on an different paradigm altogether-descriptive words like "enter"... I mean drop the mind and you are there ;)
Gilbert Schultz: Words are not built upon anything but emptiness. One must discover one's nothingness first. Then all concepts are known to be merely concepts. Concept can never truly bind the spirit.
Alex Ashot Ikilikian: Yes Gilbert, Wisdom teaches Emptiness and Love teaches Fullness... I believe Enlightenment is Oneness of these two ♥
Craig Moriarty: There is no wisdom without love. But there is empty intellectualism without love. Words are only empty when they are devoid of wisdom because there is no love in them. Love can fill anything where it finds reception, including words.
Gilbert Schultz: Everything is LOVE. Love is light. Everything is light. Reality does not need to be affirmed or negated. What is, is.
The mind is dualistic and can never rest upon naked love.
It will always divide the light into light and shadows.
The contrast of life is beautiful.LOVE ♥

Love on Earth
Ron Alexander: So nice to be back on regular schedule, getting up and meditating, getting into mindfulness and doing one chore peacefully at a time. Communicating with sweet friends locally and all over the world. Nice steady rain outside - sounds so good on tin roof, and fresh smells wafting in from trees and plants outside. Life can be Heaven On Earth! May all Beings be happy, peaceful and free! in Oneness, ron

Beyond Faith
Great communication with long time Vipassana Meditator:
Hi T. ... yet it is typical of ACIM fundamentalists dangerous thinking that this life on earth is shit, and what is beyond is "heaven".
Dear ron,I think we are the lucky ones who have found something beyond faith...
as for me... thats not the kind of leap I want. it didn't work for me since I was a teen...
but yet... there was always some kind of faith that believed more was possible than what had been revealed to me. ...but it involved not placing faith in alot of other things along the way.
Yes... that looking-forward- to-heaven dogma made the Manifest Destiny possible. its OK to kill all manner of life in the name of your God... after all, their only barbarians and animals. We've been given dominion... blah, blah...
I was raised by my Geman/Swiss grandmother who was raised Lutheran and danced through many Christian faiths thru her lifetime... only to die, still searching... an active member of two churches. Both ministers officiated at her funeral... a Seventh-Day Adventist minister who was my childhood friend and a Baptist minister who was one of Grandma's closest friends - he turned to her when he needed counsel.
Grandma had religious fervor - a Scorpio like me... but her search was always with the confines of Christianity. When I set off on my own spiritual explorations - she worried I would end up in a cult.
I was long past believing in anything... yet always knowing that I must live dharma, must do the right thing as I best understand it. When I stumbled across vipassana, it was with the notion that it would be just another frequent hour here or there with a group... I had no idea it would be beyond any other experience - intellectually, spiritually, socially, organizationally... nearing utopia.
And, I had no idea it would separate me from most in a way that is inexplicable. I am an intellectual... and have spent many years learning from others experiences and expressions... but I have little interest in it now, yet cannot separate myself from the literate person that I created.
I think that vipassana has somehow shifted my consciousness to a place where I percieve more energetically, than intellectually or emotionally. I can look at a picture of a person or house... and smell them and feel them vibrationally. I don't know how this happens... and its only been a few years now - about as long as I've become a hermit. If I'm that sensitive at a distance... can you imagine how intense being there is? Ha!
I've always been a prophetic dreamer and have visions... but the strange sensitivities that have developed since vipassana are, well strange.
Generally speaking, I think that spiritually inclined people are way more complex and capable of infinite ways of being crazy, than materialistic people... they're much simpler to understand. Yet... that very inclination is an indication of an evolved spirit... seeking sustenance.
"For what is evil but good tortured by its own hunger and thirst?
Verily when good is hungry it seeks food even in dark caves, and when it thirsts, it drinks even of dead waters." ~Gibran
Its interesting that ppl associate agitation with a heightened state - and equanimity with bland and boring. ...and its impossible to explain dancing with the atoms to someone who hasn't... like explaining an orgasm to a child.
Face it, Capt... you've leaped... and left many behind and your only real connection to them now is your compassion. You are wonderful inspiration... and will one day die an old young man.

Coleman Barks reading Rumi poems
The Guest House must be one of the greatest poems ever written:"...Joy, despair, darkness ... Be grateful for whoever comes for each has been sent as a guide from beyond...and they may be clearing you out for a new delight."
"A sentimental sense of oneness with everything."
~~~THE GUEST HOUSE ~~~
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
......as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond. ~ Rumi
The whole universe is connected with love.
Learn to give your love to the others.
Your heart must understand that you have space for it all. Don't
forget that the world is afraid of the people who don't have love.~~~...♥ Rumi
