Thought For the Week:
Remember the Souuuuul Train? Here is The Loooooove Train. Gay marriage equality is going to happen in SC very soon! Unity is open to marrying all couples no matter their orientation. I'm not saying that to generate business...I'm saying it because we are proud to do so. I have done unions before in our church and now that they can be done soon with all legal force, I'm delighted.
Jesus would be so very happy right now with how things are shaking out in this area of our collective Love Life. He never said a thing against any sexual orientation and when you read the gospel, the message of Jesus is LOVING IN RADICAL WAYS: love your enemies, forgiveness, turn the other cheek, our divine nature, work with the poor and honor those who are different like those darn Samaritans. It is a message about love for all, equality for all, justice for all.
You can't stop love. As more and more justices and politicians and people in general realize they have loved ones whose sexual orientation is gay, the LOVE TRAIN is not going to be stopped. And yes, we are doing it here in SC.
