Mindfulness Helps in all situations

Sometimes, "mindfulness" can take on a whole different kind of meaning!

This is from Master Chow who lives in Singapore...The spiritual skills we work so hard to acquire during our life can also become important survival skills...we are, perhaps, not of this world...but we are certainly in it, making the most of it!
Another example of using Buddha's wisdom and skillful means. One day my student had a minor accident where he fractured his toes. He took a long MC. The boss of the shipping company was not happy with this matter. So he sacked and dismissed... my student immediately.
My student came to see me in my Tai Chi class. So I asked him to bring all his documents and the contract to see me. After I had made a study of it, I wrote my findings for his benefit, a long list. Next I asked him printed out three sets of my findings and reasons why the company was in the wrong to sack him. I was precise in my writings than any lawyer. He went to three different departments to launch his case.
True enough he won the case. The company had to pay him 75% of his salary for one and half years without working.
To be a Buddhist, it is important to develop your mindfulness and wisdom to deal with any adverse situation. ( 2 cents opinion )
Ron: YES! LIKE:To be a Buddhist, it is important to develop your mindfulness and wisdom to deal with any adverse situation. thanks Evelyn Leonard Wright! I find that mindfulness helps in all of my life - especially mindful listening and eating! I listened carefully to a young student living on a old boat (cheapest way to live near Charleston), and how it almost sunk. I had just the answer for her, an extra emergency pump that you just have to plug in rather than wire in to 12 volt system, which she had to do in very adverse situation. She was very grateful!
