Focus all your energy...

Despite our highly polarized country, he is ever so slowly losing the faith of people who once supported him.

President Trump’s latest explosion of meanness has, yet again, left many people disconsolate about the state of the country. Many are especially demoralized that Trump doesn’t seem to lose any popular support despite his erratic behavior.
His supporters, as Ric Steinberger of Incline Village, Nev., writes in a letter in today’s Times, “still tell pollsters that Mr. Trump is their voice.”
Is that accurate? Yes and no.
It’s true that Trump continues to draw the support of about 40 percent of American adults. But his approval ratings have fallen since he became president.
His current approval rating of 39.9 percent is down from 42 percent two months ago (on his 100th day in office) and from about 45 percent on Inauguration Day, according to FiveThirtyEight’s poll average. And his disapproval rating has risen even more than his approval rating has dropped: by 13 points, to 54 percent.
Not only that, but the intensity of support for Trump — among those who continue to back him — has waned. Fewer say they “strongly approve,” and more say they “somewhat approve.” Trump’s base seems to be shrinking, as Nate Silver has written. Fewer Americans also find Trump believable than when he took office.
The polls aren’t the only place you can see this dynamic. One of the reasons the Senate health care bill has collapsed — for now, at least — is that Republican senators feel no need to do what their president wants. He isn’t popular enough to fear.
I too despair at watching my president stoop to schoolyard nastiness. And I too wish that more of my fellow citizens, from both parties, would reject this sort of behavior. But you shouldn’t worry that Trump is beyond all of the normal rules of politics.
He isn’t. His lack of results and his behavior as president matter. Despite our highly polarized country, he is ever so slowly losing the faith of people who once supported him.

Back doing what I love most...

I just finished an in-depth interview with
94 y. o. WW2 hero. Back in the saddle now, after all the health issues - very grateful😊

NDE - Near Death Experience

How do I know that LIFE is eternal? It's not because of what any scripture or preacher said. The reason I KNOW this is that I died once--and while I was "dead,"
I found that I was still very much alive, very conscious, more aware than ever--so MUCH more. Actually, when I came back into body consciousness....after the medical folks "revived" me, I felt less alive again...but more awake in a sense. But it was at that point that I began to pay attention to the still small voice in me that all along had been whispering to me the divine secrets of the ONE I AM, of which I now KNOW I AM an expression. (And so it is; and so are we ALL).

Our only hope?

The care of the Earth is our most ancient and most worthy, and after all, our most pleasing responsibility. To cherish what remains of it and to foster its renewal is our only hope.

More about reaching Ecstasy!

A wonderful existence...

Once you realize that the road is the goal and that you are always on the road, not to reach a goal, but to enjoy its beauty and its wisdom, life ceases to be a task and becomes natural and simple, in itself an ecstasy.

 Ashleigh G. Walkinshaw:😊 ·
The thing I dislike most about growing old (and in living) is when I start feeling sorry for myself. I can spiral down and get really morose. Watching my body and memory deteriorate in the inevitable process, and knowing there's nothing I can do about it except to accept it as gracefully as possible.
My self-talk gets pretty heavy at times, reminding myself that my mother didn't have me just so i could cry or quit, as much as i want to at times.
But to learn the understanding of anicca, that everything is always changing, temporal. Experiential.
The Dukkha, suffering, dissatisfactory nature of anicca arises from my thoughts, which can be contained, if not dissolved, through mindfulness in the moment. Mind is king of life, but breath is king of mind.
It is said that I should believe nothing, no matter where I read it, or who said it, no matter if Buddha or Jesus have said it, unless it agrees with my own reason and my own common sense. My experience of it.
Anatta, or "Not-self" is not just a profound philosophical idea, it is a purpose, a destination, destiny of all. I hope when i arrive, when my mind and all I am is no more, that the karma of the love i've lived will outweigh the bad. Memory of me will fade with time, as mine of my ancestors, but i hope a fragrance of my love will remain.

Experience that Divine Love

In the consciousness of one who is immersed in the Divine Love of God, there is no deception, no narrowness of caste or creed, no boundaries of any kind.
When you experience that Divine Love, you will see no difference between flower and beast, between one human being and another.
You will commune with all nature, and you will love equally all mankind.

No one should lose health coverage, and this repeal bill threatens the health care of millions of people including families struggling to get by, women, elderly people, children, and people with disabilities." ~ Janel George

Flying with the fastest birds on the planet: Peregrine Falcon & Goshawk ...

So far, no bird known can match the flying speed of a peregrine falcon in its hunting dive. The peregrine falcon is the fastest bird – and in fact the fastest animal on Earth – when in a dive. As it executes this dive, the peregrine falcon soars to a great height, then dives steeply at speeds of over 200 miles (320 km) per hour. The video above gives you an idea of how fast this is, as seen from the falcon’s point of view.
