Raining Now? Appreciate the Positive Aspects & Access Your Power

"Your job is simply to remain happily in your here and now location,
appreciating all the positive aspects of here and now." (from the TwelveSpirit.net)

"Awareness is the power that is concealed within the present moment. … The ultimate purpose of human existence, which is to say, your purpose, is to bring that power into this world." ~ Eckhart Tolle

Paddling Upstream?

Guest:
I feel like I’m paddling upstream. It’s like I’ve always been struggling trying
to get somewhere. So my question is, if I’m trying to be a
conscious creator, how does that work? I
want to get somewhere. There are things I want, places I want to be,
relationships I want to have and have more of, and … you get the
picture.

It really is all about the journey, and
the journey is what is taking place, right here, right now. You aren’t really
going anywhere, and that is the grand illusion, what the Hindus call maya.
Instead, all of that life experience is being called through you. And it’s being called
through you right here, right now.

That’s what your vortex is – it is
funneling all of that through you, through your focused point of consciousness.
That’s what your chain of experience is all about; it’s like a train and you are
like the station. It is always flowing
through you, you see. And then when
you decide you want to “get somewhere”, go somewhere else, all of those packages
of life that Source was sending to you are now addressed to the wrong location,
because you’re not there anymore. You’re trying to get somewhere else, away from
your here and now.

From a strictly physical point of view
this seems contradictory and even paradoxical.
“Of course I have to get somewhere else” you say, “I’m over here and what
I want is over there. I can see it over there and its no where near me.” And so
you pick yourself up and begin a journey away from where you are now—and you’re
paddling upstream. You are going against the flow. You changed your address and
left no forwarding.

You see the Universe is a living,
breathing, thinking organism just like you are. And you just have to engage the
co-creative process with the Universe and allow that what you want will be
delivered to your doorstep. Your job is simply to remain happily in your here
and now location, appreciating all the positive aspects of here and
now.

The way you feel while you are waiting
and doing what you do, has EVERYTHING to do with how you will get where you are
going, you see. And when you set out on
a difficult journey, well that feels difficult, like a struggle, like paddling
upstream, like going against the flow. And when you choose to be happy where you
are, and eagerly anticipating more,
that feels like joy, that feels like relief, that feels like happy anticipation.

Do you feel the difference between
those two vibrations? One of them will bring you where you want to go and the
other will be a never ending struggle. But it’s your choice in the moment.
Breathe. Relax. Watch the magic of the Living Universe unfold in front of you.
Your packages are all addressed to here/now; not, over there/some other day.
Remain happily in your here, now. If you can’t find enjoyment of some kind
here/now, then someday/over there, won’t be any fun either.

We are complete.

Forgive & Finish the Day without Guilt

Good Night - Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. Ralph Waldo Emerson(gratefulness.org)

As a Part of Love, Source, God, Great Spirit...

As a part of God, by whatever name you call the supreme being of this universe,... each of you is a god or goddess according to the gender you chose for this lifetime. More important by far than your physical form is the makeup of your soul, which is light, the same energy as love, and the most powerful force in the cosmos. Knowing this lets you understand the truth of what we often have told you: You are powerful beings with unlimited potential!”Message from Matthew

Why Avoid Anything at All?

Guest: On this topic of accepting what is, I have a question. I see other people trying to avoid things they don’t want. So if it’s really all for the good, why do I avoid things I don’t want? If everything is well, as you say, then why would I avoid anything?

Well, there’s a question we can really sink ourselves into. Why would you avoid anything at all if it’s all good? So the first thing we will point out is that it’s not all good. That is, it’s not all something you want in your experience. So the more useful question has to be: Why would you avoid anything that is being attracted to you?

Is it because you have attracted things and experiences into your life before that you did not want? Perhaps before you became conscious creator? Yes? You have learned that thing about the other shoe dropping too, where when things have gone good for a time you anticipate, and thereby create, something going wrong. You have this whole field of learning that says “You are not the one in control.” And then you listen to your news and they tell you that Congress is in control, or the giant corporations are in control, or your parents are in control, and so on and so on.

If you would listen to us all day we would tell you that you are in control. And we would tell you there is this delay from the time you conceive of a thought and think upon it a while, and the time when it will actually arrive in your experience. But it is indeed coming and you did create it. You created it as a thought-form and it precipitated into your world at exactly the right time.

So now, once again: Why would you fear anything that comes to pass in your world?

Does it not also happen that sometimes that thing which you feared turned out to be exactly the thing that you needed? Is it not true that many times that thing that you feared, when it was finally able to run you down, leaves you better off than before? That was the gist of your question, really.

The difference is that you are conscious creator. And your world has always worked this way, except before you were not conscious of it, and therefore you came up with a lot of ideas and beliefs to fill in the gaps. Let go of those beliefs.

So your question is magnificent…add it to your list of questions to ask yourself periodically: As a conscious creator, why should I fear anything that is manifesting before me in my world?

Gawd, how I enjoy you inspirators and supporters here on facebook and in life. All I want in life now is to enjoy it. What makes me happy, what makes me feel good, what relieves my pain, what helps me to have a good night sleep. What helps me get up - to have the energy to create? Oh, how I love arts and crafts! Playing about in boats and helping others enjoy life too! What makes me laugh? My fav. tv program now is the Big Bang Theory. I enjoy watching some sports on TV, but not getting too involved in who is winning or not. I enjoy waiting on and being waiting on, but not with the catch 22 - if I wait on you, you have to wait on me especially now in my old age. If you don't enjoy being with me on my terms as being the captain of my own life, then leave - I had rather be alone! Peace out, keep sending out your inspirational messages, in gratitude and joy, Capn ron!

Ron Alexander: Don't smother each other. No one can grow in the shade.
Leo Buscaglia (my biggest problem in relationship is feeling smothered)
Ron Alexander: Another big problem I have seen in relationships - one or the other think they know what is best for the other - not necessarily so - give each other space & freedom!

Lindsay Lock Butler: I part of that smothering inclination is insecurity (at least it was for me). I had to learn to love myself and be content with myself before I could love someone else in the way I should. While I'm more then happy to be with my husband, I'm also okay with when we want to do our own things. We're married, and we love each other, but we are individuals with our own strengths and interests. Valentines Day Poem for all of us

FLY WITH ME
Written by, Theresa F Koch

Take my hand fly with me
We’ll dance amidst the stars
Soar up to the heavens tonight
Together we’d fly far
Set upon the crescent moon
You’d teach me ancient verse
Let me look into your eyes
I’ll tell you of your worth
Dance with me until the dawn
Till the sun brings back the light
Spent your night among the stars
Live and laugh with me tonight
Let me take your hand in mine
I’ll guide you through the dark
Set amongst the crescent moon
Amongst the twinkling stars
They’re between the dusk an dawn
Above the oceans waves
We’d hold each other close
Until the break of day
So take my hand
And fly with me
We’ll dance amidst the stars
Soaring up to the heavens tonight
Together we’ll fly far

Love and Blessings~Theresa f Koch

Warren & Martin - The Liberation of Warren Buffett

Warren & Martin: Warren liberated from greed -
Reading article about Warren Buffett today in Time Magazine and there was a quote about why he became more liberal after hearing a speech from Martin Luther King, Jr. - it was about how the government may not be able to create positive change, but it can protect us from harm after the change - found this similar quote as Time did not let me read whole article without subscribing: "It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important."
Martin Luther King, Jr.

Warren donates 99% of his income - most recently 187 BILLION dollars!
& he has created the "Buffett Rule" for Obama and the Democrats -
Middle-class families shouldn't have to pay a higher tax rate than millionaires and billionaires.
So President Obama has proposed the "Buffett Rule," which would require the wealthiest Americans to pay a tax rate at least as high as the middle class. Republicans are already calling this "class warfare," and they will fight this plan with everything they have.
But it's just common sense. Tell the President you've got his back on this one.

Beauty is Everywhere Welcome

Beauty is everywhere a welcome guest.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

When before the beauty of a sunset or a mountain, you pause and exclaim, "Ah," you are participating in divinity.
Joseph Campbell
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed." Albert Einstein

Widening our Circle of Compassion - The Beauty of One Love

"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us _universe_, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." Albert Einstein

Match Yourself with Source (things don't make you happy)

It is a common enough misconception to think that “if I just had all of this money” I could go out and purchase what I want and be happy. But it is not possible to purchase that which will make you happy. You must ask for what you want from Source. Source becomes it for you, and you must allow yourself to become a vibrational match to Source who has become that which you desire. You cannot just purchase that.

So even if you win the big lottery and suddenly have more money than you can fathom, you must continue asking of Source that which is wanted. And asking in all arenas of your life, large and small, for it is in the asking and the becoming that is the Joy of living. It is that joyful connection with Source, present everywhere in every moment along that path, that fills you with joyfulness of living. That is the purpose of your existence, the joy of creating and becoming expanded life experience, that which has never been before.

If you will allow your attention to be upon that which you are wanting, how much you want it, why you want it, what you are going to do with it, all of those things that enhance your wanting process; and then proceed through your day knowing that it must be, having gratitude, overflowing appreciation, and confident knowing that what Source has become for you is indeed present, and awaiting your arrival, then your journey will be blessed with miracles and events that will propel you forward to that joyous event in a manner that will leave them breathless. You will breathe easily for you will know it was coming.

Looking up brilliant Anne Frank in Wikipedia, I see that she went to Montessori school in Amsterdam, where they encouraged her reading and writing skills because that is what she loved so much. I did not know these great schools had been around that long?

The Only Real Security:
Worth repeating regarding situation I describe below

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present. (thanks to Lindsay Lock Butler)

Live up to your convictions, you can walk in grace or walk in fear. You can't have it both ways. Bunni,
What did the 3 lawyers decide? I looked around to see if you posted, forgive me if I missed it. Thinking about you.

Thanks so much Bunni! - The "trust" lawyer has given me and my attorney a week to get some "paper" proof together to try to convince him not to have the "eviction lawyer" try to put me out again. I have been going through my records - repair bills & medical bills mainly, and will get them to my lawyer and telling more of my side of story. Again, so glad I watched The Diary of Ann Frank last night - bless her Sweet Soul - so grateful to be free and have good choices.

Everyone has inside of him a piece of good news. The good news is that you don't know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is!

Attention is the Key

Guest: I’ve read that “Either God or the ego is insane.” I think God is insane. An insane god created an insane universe! A loving and compassionate god would have created a loving and compassionate world.

So, what kind of God are you? The world that you see, feel, experience with your physical senses is a world that you have constructed — and you did it in two ways. First of all there is your reaction to the world you perceive. And if you perceive the horrors of the world and then focus your attention upon them, you then begin to attract more of them. That is the second part of the equation. There is this Law of Attraction which governs your world, and it begins to do it’s work as soon as you think a thought and hold it in your attention.

There are no parts of the world that did not come to you in this way. That’s the key to the operation of this thing, this universe: attention. What you attend to in thought activates the Law of Attraction and the universe responds by drawing more of it in your direction. And it does so on the level of thought-energy first, and thought-forms, and then with physical realities.

So you are not real happy with the things that are going on in your piece of real estate there, and the beauty of that is you are going to profoundly change it in a very short time, even by human standards, when you choose to focus your attention instead upon that which is kind, loving and compassionate. And if you cannot find anything like kind, loving, and compassionate, then focus your attention upon that which is at least a move in the right direction.

It may seem like you are holding up your hand and saying “La-la-la-la-la.” but that’s really what you must do. You are holding right there in your grey matter the key to a compassionate world, but you have to step through the door first with your thoughts. You get what you look for. So while in this moment you may not have any control over where you can go, or who you can be with, or what you can see with your eyes physically, you do have absolute control over what you think and where you pay your attention.

The blessings you seek are already present on your journey,

Breathing for Life, for Love, for Loving Life!

I have been waking gasping for breath lately and really anxious about dying. VA Doc told me that it sounded like "Sleep Apnea". I was relieved as had no idea of why I was having breathing, fatigue, and muscle soreness in last few weeks. The doc told me she would set me up for a sleep lab soon. She told me that if tech. placed breathing mask on me during sleep lab, that would confirm Apnea. I could tell her that there is no doubt. Now, when waking up instead of panicing, I use deep breathing (pranayama} that I learned in Hatha Yoga training.
How precious breathe and life is ...I have never felt that close to death before.

Jeanne thinks it is because 3 lawyers are meeting tomorrow to determine my fate with house. Please send positive thoughts this way that Divine Wisdom will prevail in that meeting.

.Lindsay Lock Butler My dad has sleep apnea, I never thought of using yoga breathing techniques in that... it's an interesting idea. He's currently working with a physical trainer and his doctor to try to lose weight because the doctor is pretty confident (as are the rest of us) that him being overweight is definitely not helping. Stress doesn't help either [he works REALLY hard]. I'm really glad my dad is taking his health issues seriously, because I want him around for a long, long time. Sending you good thoughts, my friend.

Pamela Pollard Arrington They glue these electrodes to your head and at various points on your face. Then they watch you sleep. There's a camera in the ceiling. They count how many times you stop breathing, how many times your turn over, and whether or not you snore in different positions. Then they map your REM sleep patterns. it was very beneficial to me. I have snored forever but it has gotten worse as I've gotten older. Now I sleep with my mask and since it has a double filter I don't wake up with a runny nose. It is actually very comfortable when you get used to it.

Pamela Pollard Arrington There's a piece of tissue that hangs between where you breath and where you swollow. I don't think there's anyway to exercise it. It gets droopy with age and is worse with excess weight. Although...there are plenty of skinny people that snore too. Go for it. If nothing else you will find out new things about yourself.

Lindsay Lock Butler Oh and the test is seriously no big deal. Really easy, fast.

Pamela Pollard Arrington I hope things go well with your house. I lost mine because I was laid off and then tried to sell it for two years with no takers. They finally foreclosed. The house was in Florida and we all know where that market is right now. It was so hurtful to me. I try not to think about it and I feel your angst. Home is our port of refuge.

Ron Alexander Dear Lindsay Lock Butler & Pamela Pollard Arrington, I really appreciate your supportive and inspirational comments!

Lindsay Lock Butler No problem! It's really amazing what they can find out on those studies. And once they figure it out, it's amazing what can be done. I'll just hope for good/ prompt results for you, my friend!

Ron Alexander Oh, Pamela Pollard Arrington, I did not know about that "piece of tissue" - that explains why I have been having trouble "swallowing the wrong way" lately and feeling like I was unablte to breathe then too! Great info. I have heard people getting surgery and I guess that is why?

Pamela Pollard Arrington Yep, Ron, gravity got you. Thank God you don't have boobs with the same problem!! The point is, it is physiology. That's all. Go take the test and see what is going on.

Everything that happens is in Perfection!

“I believe that the measure of my soul is my capacity to love imperfect people.”~ Joseph Grenny
The idea that imperfection exists is a myth to start with. Everything that happens is in perfection. It's our own perception that colors it "right or wrong".
Ron Alexander: I really like that, thanks Sananda Allsgood Sounds like Truth to me!

Lindsay Lock Butler: Sananda, I have to partly disagree. There are some nearly universal wrongs/ rights [regardless of what religion or path we may be talking about here]. Most would agree [for instance] it's not right to kill, steal, lie. Most would find it good to help others... There may be exceptions to those rules [for example, it's okay to kill if it's in self-defense or steal if in dire need]. But committing atrocity for the sake of it, that is wrong. Other conceptions of right and wrong, yes, that is up to the individual to decide if that is right or wrong in their lives.
Ron Alexander: Well, thanks for speaking your truth, Lindsay Lock Butler! Indeed, this is interesting. I think in reality you are right, however, I think that in Reality Sananda Allsgood is right! In a way, you are both right!Sananda Allsgood: Lindsay - While I appreciate your right to believe what you may, I was speaking in a bigger picture than just our social customs or religious beliefs. For example, you said it isn't right to steal, which would imply that a person could own something. In order to own something, you would have to deny another to possess it, correct? But how can we really own anything. That is an illusion just as time is an illusion or "right and wrong". If you want to address killing another, that would imply you would end another's life, but since we are total energy, formed as a physical being, and energy can never be destroyed...only change the shape it presents, then can anyone really "die" or have a life ended? I don't believe this possible...but this is how I believe and I also know not everyone does. Perhaps one day, John Lennon will be found to be correct in his song "Imagine". It isn't much different than sailing off the end of the flat world only to find...it isn't flat at all. Blessings.

Ron Alexander: Lindsay Lock Butler - I understand what you're trying to say Sananda. And it's certainly an interesting point. Thanks for explaining it further :-)

Ron Alexander: Thanks Sananda Allsgood, good explanation of a difficult position - like trying to explain that the whole world as we see it is an illusion - a dream. Or a "nightmare" or a mixture (usually). We can choose Heaven or hell in Reality but most of us live in between in reality or what the Buddhists call the Middle
Way.

Bob Sampron ‎... or simply by accepting the spirituality of imperfection.
Lydia Porter: Clapping for Bob Sampron. Cheers in background. Imperfection is the natural contrast that lets us see perfection. This gives all direction. Which direction you choose to travel is your own choice.

Lindsay Lock Butler: Lydia Porter, you hit the nail right on the head for me. Thank you for explaining what I was having a hard time putting together in words. :-)
Bob Sampron: Of course, then there is the question why does a perfect God allow imperfection? Why is it necessary for humans and all things mortal to experience imperfection at all? Why is imperfection necessary? Or, are imperfection and perfection merely opinions, as is the existence of anything beyond energy?Sananda Allsgood: I understand what all of you are saying, and there is poetic truth to it. Without dark...how would you know what light is, etc? It is my feeling that these are very basic understandings though and to allow ones self to grow further is to allow other, shall we say, "outlandish" ideas to land, take seed and grow.
Sananda Allsgood: Lydia...just a thought to ponder on the idea of people depending on you. I understand what you are saying and that is the concept that we all have lived under for millenniums, but there are other examples also. What of the families of the people who passed in 9/11? I'm sure they felt their families depended on them too, yet they are still here and they are alive. Of course I don't know what conditions they are living under, but life will continue and the illusion that we are "needed" is something that our own ego tells us to provide a sense of worth. I, in no way, want to sound like I am diminishing the value of a parent for a child or the assistance to an elderly parent, I'm not. But I am saying that it's our own story that we have told ourselves throughout time, that we are needed and important. In the grander scheme of things, we are a cell in the body of the universe who will be here...until we aren't. Then we will appear somewhere else, in some other form and "press on". I am a parent, a husband and a child to elderly parents and I like to believe that in some way, I'm important to them, but in reality (the BIG reality) if I wasn't here tomorrow, the sun would still rise, the air would still be breathable and the day would go on. It's a story we tell ourselves until we don't any longer.

Sananda Allsgood: My wife just added this and I find it awesome. Since perfection and imperfection are merely opinions or beliefs, as is anything beyond energy, that makes everything the playground of experience.

Lindsay Lock Butler: Sananda I love, "Without dark...how would you know what light is..." Beautiful and so true. It's applicable in so many ways- how could we know happiness without sadness? Joy without grief? Love without hate? We hope to learn from all experiences- good and bad. But without those choices- how could we really learn at all? A god who forced us to do good would be also forcing us to love him. Which would only be a whisper of the love that we can really exhibit for god and our fellowman compared to the quantity when given the choice.

"Everything that happens is in Perfection!" This thought extracted from Sananda Allsgood's thoughts summarizes all that has been said here for me! Thank you all for the great dialogue! ron

Love is a burning thing./
And, it makes a fiery ring./
Bound by wild desire./
I fell into a ring of fire./

Think and Act Now in Gratefulness for Joy, Love & Beauty

There must be always remaining in every life, some place
for the singing of angels, some place for that which
in itself is breathless and beautiful.

Angela Martin Diggs to Ron Alexander

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back. - Unknown

Being Compassionate with your Inner Monster

May I see my own limits with compassion,
just as I view the limits of others.

Bob Sampron: Without discernment, how then do we keep away the monsters?

Ron Alexander: Being compassionate with your inner monster.

Lindsay Lock Butler: We all have our faults. We want love even though we have faults, so we should love others despite their faults.

Ron Alexander: It is kind of confusing - those two messages together, however, Lindsay Lock Butler synthesized well what I was trying to convey - thanks Lindsay!

"It takes great courage for us to see the parts of ourselves that we have trouble accepting being mirrored back to us by our partners - (from)
Relationship is the most challenging spiritual path available on the planet. No other path brings forth our buried doubts, fears and insecurities for healing so definitely. It takes great courage for us to see the parts of ourselves that we have trouble accepting being mirrored back to us by our partners. Yet, by making peace with the disowned parts of ourselves, we come to know our own wholeness and can then experience authenticity."
Paul Ferrini

Guess one of my inner monsters? - "narcissistic womanizer" - not so active now at 67, thank goodness! I was only 66 when these photos were taken LOL!

Lindsay Lock Butler: I wholeheartedly agree. Without others in our lives its impossible for us to improve. We need them to teach us, and in turn teach them. By interacting, by being examples. The [best] teaching is not overt, but rather that comes naturally and from the heart.

“I believe that the measure of my soul is my capacity to love imperfect people.”~ Joseph Grenny

Acceptance is the universal currency of real friendship. . . .It does not warp or shape or wrench a person to be anything other than what they are.
