One Truth - the Oneness - Many Paths

Photo

Truth is one, paths are many. Mahatma Gandhi

In Christianity, it would be "Love thy neighbor as thy self." In Gandhi's spirituality it would be "Love thy neighbor for he is thyself."
Ron Alexander Also in Christianity from Jesus Christ - Be as one, as my Father and I are one."

Ron Alexander thanks Nick - Thank God for free will! However, I think you missed a subtelty there. I said Gandhi would say "Love thy neighbor as thyself (as we are one)". Thanks for allowing me to clarify this.
Yes

Nick Macias Okay I do believe we are "one", we are a brotherhood of man, we come from one source and our "life force" energy is connected via the power of the creator of the universe. Thank you Ron for clearifing your words and thank you for taking the time to share them.

Lisa Crews Another quote from Gandhi, that I would have to agree with... "All Religions are True: "I came to the conclusion long ago … that all religions were true and also that all had some error in them, and whilst I hold by my own, I should hold others as dear as Hinduism. So we can only pray, if we are Hindus, not that a Christian should become a Hindu … But our innermost prayer should be a Hindu should be a better Hindu, a Muslim a better Muslim, a Christian a better Christian." (Young India: January 19, 1928)

Youth is a State of Mind

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind;
it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and
supple knees; it is a matter of the will, quality
 of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions;
it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.

May the Great Spirit Bless All

"May the Warm Winds of Heaven
Blow softly upon your house.
May the Great Spirit
Bless all who enter there.
May your Mocassins
Make happy tracks
in many snows,
and may the Rainbow
Always touch your shoulder. "

Let Go of Negative Self-judgements -

No, however I have been confused with him before. I have gone through similar training in California, and a check for him even came to me, when living out there. He even looks alot like me. I may post his photo and place his qualifications ...under the photo. I received my Masters out there, but did not finish my Ph.D. program. I may go back out there and study under him at his OpenMind Institute in Santa Monica?
Thanks for posting this Betty Allgrim, as it is Wisdom!

You Can Let Go of Negative Self-Judgments

by Ronald Alexander
let-go-of-negative-self-jufgement_OM-TimesMany people cling to the myth that those who are successful inevitably feel good about themselves and are free from self-doubt and insecurities. I’ve worked with many clients whose résumés, personal achievements, and reputations garner the deepest respect and admiration, yet their negative self-talk is often utterly brutal. Despite their low opinion of themselves, they’ve managed to fashion lives that many would envy. Yet the disconnection between their inner feelings about themselves and their outer success causes them to hold back from making changes that would lead to far greater fulfillment and peace of mind. They’ll remain in a stagnant situation until change is thrust upon them, and then feel overwhelmed by any crises that occur.
The Destructive Power of Negative Self-Judgments
No matter how accomplished we are, no matter how happy we may seem, we all hold on to negative self-judgments, and they hold on to us. They prevent us from discovering our power to change our lives for the better. When we switch to more positive thought patterns, crisis stops being overwhelming, and it’s far easier to let go of resistance, tune in to our passions and inner resources, and move forward with confidence.
Positive thinking is indeed powerful, but don’t hold yourself to unrealistic standards and expect to quickly transform what are often lifelong thinking habits. The object is to stop assigning meaning to these self-judgments, because once you start to give them weight, they begin to weigh you down. Through the practice of mindfulness, you can learn to notice when you are tearing yourself down and begin to change your habit of self-criticism.
The Stories the Mind Spins
Often, the rational mind will string together a series of distortions. Instead of simply noticing “I am shy,” the mind will generate the thought, “I’m shy, which is why I’ll never find a romantic partner; my shyness makes me unattractive.” Instead of observing “I am an extrovert,” the mind begins to tell a disempowering story: “I’m an extrovert. My mother never liked that about me, and it seemed to embarrass my siblings. I probably made a fool of myself many times. I am too eager to connect to other people, who look down on me for being emotionally needy.” You may not even be fully aware that you’re embellishing your self-judgments in an unwholesome way.
Reframe Your Negative Self-Judgments
Through mindfulness practice and self-inquiry, you can render any negative self-judgments neutral and even see them in a far different light. To be “self-centered,” focused on resolving inner conflicts, can be perceived as negative, but it’s very important at times to direct your attention to yourself and your needs. If you feel that you are “callous,” you might reframe that quality as “courageous” or “bold.” If you see yourself as “weak,” consider thinking of yourself as someone who is sensitive to others’ feelings.
You’ll never rid yourself of your unwholesome self-judgments and be completely free from the suffering they cause you. However, you can alter their quality, learn from them, and either let them go or transform them so that they no longer block you from a sense of well-being, a feeling of spaciousness, and openness to new possibilities. Hidden gold will appear when you let go of your negative-judgments. The aspects of yourself you’ve been overlooking will ascend to your consciousness. Through mindfulness, you can discover these forgotten qualities that will inspire and vitalize you, and carry you through the rough waters of crisis to more placid waters.

William - Captian Ron, over the last few days I have been consciously aware of my own negative self judgements when communicating with others. I have been observing them and they are passing away as I watch them go. I know that you did not write the above article and I have yet to read it but you practically helped me work out some karma over the last week or so. Thank you for your help.

Love will find a Way

PABLO CRUISE
"Love Will Find A Way"
Send "Love Will Find A Way" Ringtone to your Cell
Someone, someone's got me wrong
You thought that your love was strong
Now you're feelin' like such a fool
... Poor you
You're thinkin' maybe if you said goodbye
You'll understand the reason why
The love you had felt so cruel, um-hm
Oh, but it's all right
Once you get past the pain
You'll learn to find your love again
So keep your heart open
'Cause love will find a way
Sometimes we all feel a need to change
Our love we have to rearrange
And move on to something new, yes you do
Your dreams feel like they're fallin' apart
You need to find a brand new start
But you're almost afraid to be true to yourself
Oh, but it's all right
Once you get past the pain
You'll learn to find your love again
So keep your heart open
'Cause love will find a way
Love will find a way
Love will find a way
[Instrumental Interlude]
So now don't, don't be afraid of yourself
Just move on to something else
And let your love shine through
Again yes 'cause it's all right
Once you get past the pain
You'll learn to find your love again
So keep your heart open
'Cause love will find a way
Oh, but it's all right
Once you get past the pain
You'll learn to find your love again
So keep your heart open
'Cause love will find a way

Everything has its beauty (Even the ego?)

Everything has its beauty,

but not everyone sees it.
Confucius
Even the ego?
What is the  "ego" if it is not the "psychological ego"? Can A Course in Miracles  teacher teach about "the Tryanny of Special" teach without feeling "special"? Our asst. minister at our Unity Church is also an ACIM teacher. She taught today about "The Tyranny of Special." Of course she taught ACIM's condemnation of the ego, "which makes you feel special", and how terrible that is...Our ministers always ask for "comments" at the end. I stood up and said:  "My ego is great.  It has kept me safe aound the world. Gary Zulav called it our Earth Guide. As long as we are on this earth, we need our body and ego to be completely present. She answered that "that is not what ACIM means - it is not about the psychological ego. Yes, we all need ego strength. but this ego means being seperate from God." I did not say anymore, however I thought then ACIM really means the devil, satan thats what keeps us seperate from God. However, should we not love all parts of ourselves, with particular attention to the devilish part of ourselves - to really be aware of this "ego", so it will not "seperate" us from God.

Light More Powerful Than Any Darkness

Two Powerful Light Beings Shine Their Wisdom
“There is a light in this world, a healing spirit more powerful than any darkness we may encounter. We sometimes lose sight of this force when there is suffering, too much pain. Then suddenly, the spirit will emerge through the lives of ordinary people who hear a call and answer in extraordinary ways.”
Mother Teresa

There is Nobody Out There

  • Ron Alexander I have recently had a series of put downs with a Brother, who I really respect. Finally, after a dozen of these put down satiric (Latin for "cutting meat" done with a politically correct "lol". I responded with you know " W. we are just talking to ourselves, there is nobody out there. We are One. I have had the hardest time dealing with my Mom who shockingly disinherited me even though I was only son left of 5, and I was always trying to please her. This is what the HOponopono Prayer is about. "I am sorry, please forgive me. Thank you (for I know you will). I love you Brother!" Now if I can say this prayer to Mother and really mean it as I know we are all One - even Mom, even James Holmes, even Hitler! There is nobody out there - hard to believe but like this Gandhi statement it is Truth!

Will Relationships Change in New 'Earth"?

I don't think lust will ever change - used to be very intense when younger...just saying! Thanks Kelly Faith!  and

New Earth relationships will be so different to the relationships you now have. They will be gentler and more playful and yet wise. There will be less intensity and drama, and more caring, nurturing and companionship.

You will come to rea...lise that the purpose of relationship, all relationship, is to "relate" - to share and to support and to nuture from your own sense of abundance and completeness.

You will look for relationships that are spiritual and heart-based, rather then physical and emotional. In the Old Earth relationship paradigm, relationships were based on physical attraction and emotional bonding.
In the New earth, your relationships will be based in the heart, in feelings, compassion, connection and mutual respect and support.

We forsee many relationships growing between people of different age groups and different cultures, relationships that will be deep and meaningful, and yet would not have seemed possible before because of the narrow limitations of what you considered a relationship to be in your Old Earth energy framework.

These relationships will be light and joyous, and yet capable of real depth and intimacy because the people concerned will be more interested in the connections of the soul rather than the connections of the external and the physical realms.

There will be sharing and caring, and yet both partners will be independent and self-reliant within themselves. There can be no co-dependency in the New Earth. Balance is so important.

These relationships will be balanced and loving, between two equally powerful and caring persons. There will be no dominance, no victims, no dramas and no abuse.

There will be commitment - commitment to the relationship and the mutual growth of each of the partners within the relationship. And this will be true for all relationships, not just love or romantic relationships.

Friendships will become deeper and more meaningful experiences, as you understand that you have soul families, and that your friends often are close soul relations who are here to love and support you in your work on the planet. And when your relationships exist in this loving and balanced state, then your sexuality will also be loving and balanced.

And, once again humans will learn to celebrate and enjoy their creative and sexual energies in ways that are life-enhancing and ecstatic. And we are here to work with you and love you and support you as you move into this loving and love-filled space.....Indigo NineSee More

You are valued more than you know...

You are valued more than you know, by more people than you think. It might be good to get in touch today with your true worth. It is much higher than you often give it credit for being -- and now is a perfect time to know, and to gently assert, that fact. This is not about arrogance and it is not about over confidence. It is about a simple, dignified Knowing." ~ Neale Donald Walsch ♥

    Awakening to Your Mission

    From Awoken to Oneness!

The Keel Walk by Alex Thomson / Hugo Boss

Exciting courageous act by the Captain - so much faith in his crew, boat and himself. I am sure that Hugo Boss paid him very well too!

Beata Bohac I've sailed quite a bit, but that doesn't make me an expert on sailing. However, I can't understand how the sailboat can heel over so much that the keel shows & NOT tip over!? I wonder if the boat is especially designed for this trick?
That was a funny looking wet suit he wore! LOL

  • Beata Bohac But yes! I admire his courage & skill!
  • Ron Alexander Yes, those modern sailboats are very lightweight and designed to sail on their sides if need be...not me. I like the old fashioned heavy blue water boats with heavy keels that keep you from turning over...

  •  Ron Alexander See how clean that bottom is - my boats have bottom paint and were meant to stay in the water for a year without being hauled. Those sleek modern racing sailboats have to be taken out of water after nearly every race. They needed high-end sponsors like Hugo Boss.

Beata Bohac That's it, Ron. It's the lightweight of the speedboats (perhaps fiberglass?) that allows them to heel over like this. They're so slick - I amire that! But I like sturdy boats, I enjoy when the boat is heeling over - it's the coolest feeling. But not like the spedboat above.
We were caught a few times in a storm, thank goodness we weren't too far from the shore. I'm sure, it's happened to you many times too.....

Rod Stewart - I am Sailing (With Vets on Deck again)

Perfect! I did not know about this Rod Stewart song and sailing in New York Harbor - notice Twin Towers! He was really young then too

  • And there is the Verazzano Bridge, the Statue of Liberty - bring back alot of memories - thanks alot Beata Bohac!
  • The most exciting sail with Vets. on Deck yet - the wind was strong, the boat was really heeling (leaning), and with a couple of brave newcomers we had fun and felt safe with Capt. (Don't take it personally Pat)!

  • Ron Alexander that's me with dark shirt on right!

  •  Don Dunson:
Best therapy I have ever had. Great teams and good fellowship! Excellent leadership!

  • Ben Merkel: Great sail today!!!

  • Beata Bohac This is what JOY looks like! Happy sailing, Ron!!!
Ron Alexander Well AHOY Beata Bohac - JOY Indeed! Thanks - great to hear from you!

  • Part of the Joy was getting back as there were some tense times with all the wind!

  • Ron Alexander With a brand new but enthusiastic sailor at the helm we had only one accidental jybe but almost a few others, yet we were aware and ready for the possible boom!
  • Anatoly Petrenko: Sails full of wind,
    Captain Ron full of charm.
    Beautiful!
  • Well, we weren't heeling this much, thank goodness! Quite a photo! Not by me obviously!
