Peace at Christmas Reminds us to be vigilant against the enemies of peace that lurk inside

"Christmas is the festival of peace. Every year it comes in its own good time. But peace inside and among us can come only through persistent effort. This holiday reminds us that all people yearn for peace. Every year it admonishes us to be vigilant against the enemies of peace that lurk inside all of us, lest they cause harm not only at Christmas time but throughout the year."
-- Albert Einstein

Thanks so to Jeanne Porter Ashley!  Great reminder to be vigilant for peace every day, every moment! I apologize, please forgive me, thank you(for I know you do), I love you!

What are the "enemies of peace"?  These negative judgemental critical thoughts we have all the time, so cleansing, purifying is needed moment by moment. Praying without ceasing is so important to "renewing our mind" as Jesus says or meditating or mindfulness moment to moment as Buddha would put it is so vital to living a Spiritual life approaching the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth or the Bliss of Nirvana. Aum Shanti, ron

"The good news is that you can free yourself from your mind. The voice comments, speculates, judges, compares, complains, likes, dislikes, and so on. The voice isn't necessarily relevant to the situation you find yourself in at the time; it may be reviving the recent or distant past (memory) or imagining possible future situations." Eckhart Tolle, THE POWER OF NOW

Vigilance is fine as long as we remember to rest often and allow Peace to just Be...
