Immersed in a Vast Ocean of Thoughts

Guest: How do we manage the thoughts in our mind?

"We invite you to meditate more."

If the only thoughts you had were the thoughts that are (generated locally) in your mind you wouldn't have any trouble managing them at all. But your brain is more like a receiver of thought than it is a generator of thought. This is why you have thoughts that seem to come out of nowhere. Your brain, your heart, your whole body, is a sensitive receiver immersed in a vast ocean of thought. And in this sense you are more like a sieve than you are like a shell.

So here you are immersed in a vibrational world that was preceded by thought, is surrounded by thought, and you are taking in as much of it as you can. But they didn't tell you when you were born that you would be taking in so many more thoughts then most of the people around you. Those who raised you were trained to exclude or ignore much of what they saw or heard or felt with their senses, and even more so to ignore or discount the nonphysical, vibrational aspects that surrounded them. So in order to fit in you began to manage—restrict—your thoughts.

And we risk over simplifying, but in order to get your life going in the direction you would like you to be going, you first have to get your thoughts going in that direction that you would like to be going. And in order to replace the thoughts you have, you must allow new thoughts to come in to take their place.

When you relax and meditate you allow some of the chatter that fills your head to fall away. Create a space for yourself where you can relax and breathe that is removed from influences like TV and other distractions, and allow yourself to fall back into the ocean of thought that precedes your world. There you can relax and allow your Spirit to organize your thoughts for you. We invite you to meditate often.

It's a bit of a paradox when you have too many thoughts in your head, to go to a place where there are even more—many more. But it's the same reason you can go for a swim in the ocean, but not in the swift shallow stream: the one is deep and calm, and the other tightly narrow and busy. The confusion that you have from your thoughts is almost always a result of having too few; not enough options to choose from. When you immerse yourself in the ocean of imagination, then your answers will come. You are here to expand, not to restrict your thoughts.

Blessings on your journeys,
