Meditation: The Art of Practiciing Peace

thanks sharing Yanni Maniates!
“Meditation teaches us how to consciously choose the thoughts and the feelings, and ultimately the experiences we have. The same event can be experienced very differently by two individuals because each person CHOOSES to respond and interpret the event differently. We get to decide if we see the cup ‘half-full’ or ‘half-empty’ and that makes a world of a difference in how we experience out lives.” —Yanni Maniates, from Meditation: The Art of Practicing Peace

MEDITATION: THE ART OF PRACTICING PEACE is now available on Kindle!

Pedro Avalos Yanni, you know I respect you and admire your teachings. Actually, you have become my teacher since you gave that good book in Georgia. However, let me ask you this? Why some people who don't meditate succeed?

  • Yanni Maniates Thank you Pedro and Linda! Pedro, perhaps those who "appear" not to meditate actually know how to go into the "zone," even if it appears that they don't.
Ra Divakar I think it is a paradox, Yanni Maniates - for me anyway - hard to learn how to concentrate, however life is so much easier after reaching mindfulness state!
