Freedom in Buddhism does not depend on external circumstances as it is in all circumstances so that we may notice and act upon the truth that we are free within ourselves Renown Buddhist philosopher and educator Daisaku Ikeda states “Freedom doesn’t mean the absence of all restrictions. It means possessing unshakable conviction in the face of any obstacle.”
