Emotional Yet Healing Veterans Day

An emotional yet healing Veterans Day! This day is very emotional to me, and I went over to a Viet Nam Experience Site at Mt. Pleasant just across the beautiful... Cooper River from Charleston. It was said there were 100 dog tags from S. C. casualties of the Viet Nam war over there, and I had to make sure my Brother's dog tag was there, and I am glad to say it was. Also, this site was designed to simulate a launching site for Medivac helicopters and it was very healing to meet all the wounded warriors whose lives were saved by a Medivac copter, which Barry piloted, before he was blown away with only 2 weeks left.

I do this work to promote peace by showing the horrors of war!
I have a photo of my brother sitting in his copter, and he looks completely drained and in much pain. After a few years, I see he is sitting on black body bags which completely filled the chopper. I think he had traumatic stress disorder not PTSD but in the moment, bless his healing heart. He volunteered to fly a medevac, because he did not want to pilot "gun ship" as he loved the Vietnamese people.
