Pamela Arrington Why is it we consider that as humans, we believe only we excel in the art of compromise, reasoning, compassion and logical thought (as compared to lower vertebrates), but when it comes to disagreements over money, land or religion, out come the guns?
Ron Alexander Great question Pamela Arrington - it is the primitive part of us - the lower, "snake or alligator" brain - "id" (Freud) not "ego", instinct (based on gut- fear) not intuition (based on heart - love)! Unevolved, unconscious people, yet sometimes we have to revert to that lower brain to defend ourselves individually or as a country. Interestingly, Jesus said not to "resist evil" in other words in "defenselessness our safety lies" (ACIM). If we could only get there?
Ra Divakar Gandhi called it "Satyagraha" or something like that "passive resistence" not the same as passive aggressive lol
