There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly.

The most beautiful trees I have ever seen grow in the most adverse conditions. Bristle-coned pines grow on north slope of mountains 7000 to 9000 feet on acidic soil where nothing else can grow. The grove I found was on the White Mts. above awesome Owens Valley on east side of Yosemite - Death Valley is a way South, where you have to come in on is Winter as the pass to Yosemite has 30 ft. of snow blocking it. The oldest tree was over 7000 yrs. old - the oldest Beings in the World.
