Blessing must arise from within your own mind. It is not something that comes from outside. When the positive qualities of your mind increase and the negativities decrease, that is what blessing means. The Tibetan word for blessing … means transforming into magnificent potential. Therefore, blessing refers to the development of virtuous qualities you did not previously have and the improvement of those good qualities you have already developed. ― Dalai Lama XIV

Shocking Speech to the United Nations (must watch)
My dear friend Danny Dummit shared this on Facebook. I am so happy that S. N. Goenka, my Vipassana (Buddha's) Meditation teacher is finally getting some International attention. He has not sought it. He is a married businessman whose migraine headaches were healed by Vipassana, after trying everything else. He is an In...dian, but was in Burma at the time, as a very wealthy industrialist. He and his wife brought this lost meditation back to India to help their own families, and it has spread rapidly since then. They do not charge for their retreats (you have to start with a ten day silent retreat), and you cannot even donate unless you complete the course. It has been the most successful meditation brought to prisons. See The Dhamma Brothers and Doing Time, Doing Vipassana! Namaste' (we are one), ron
Goenka is my Meditation Teacher when I go on those silent retreats! A great book about his teachings the original Buddha Meditation is called VIPASSANA MEDITATION (THE ART OF LIVING) AS TAUGHT BY S.N. GOENKA by William Hart. Of course, I am going to share it, as all Great Truths are in Oneness, Namaste'(We are one), ron
