Atlanta man Terence Lester started the nonprofit Love Beyond Walls to help homeless individuals in his city. Now, he's working on an innovative new project: building portable handwashing stations across Atlanta to enable the homeless to wash their hands.

Sarah Firth and Jill Valadao are on a mission to bring comfort and smiles to seniors in nursing homes — through iPads. Together the pair started a fundraiser, raising money to buy tablets for the elderly so they can enjoy virtual visits from family while in isolation. The response has been enormous. Their goal was to raise $300. They've already hit more than $6,000!
