Why if nothing "unreal" exists, that the "ego" is so demonized by ACIM? If there is an "ego", it needs to be treated with unconditional love like all of us. And as the body, to exist in this world, we need a "ego" structure. When we are ready to leave the body, then we can leave the "ego" behind. Now an unbalanced "ego" is a problem such as being "egocentric", and then that is a weak concept of self trying to compensate for feeling so unworthy. The "ego" is the new age "satan", and is just as dualistic. I really have found a lot of wonderful wisdom in ACIM - studied with Bill Thetford who embodied the Wisdom by living as if Our Essence is LOVE and we are all ONE! LIVING like Bill should be our goal in life. If we complained about how ACIM diminished the body and demonized the ego, he would peacefully joyously tell us to "tear out those pages."
Blessing must arise from within your own mind. It is not something that comes from outside.
