Be Kind & Gentle

Thanks, sharing Kristi & dear Louise Hay (how old is she now - keeps getting better and better!)

If you have ever untangled a ball of string, you know that yanking and pulling only makes it worse. You need to very gently and patiently unravel the knots. Be gentle and patient with yourself as you untangle your own mental knots, and love yourself in the process. Willingness to let go of the old is the key. ~ Louise Hay

  • Ron Alexander From the Twelve & Ra Divikar In other words think of how you would feel already having received all you have asked. That is the place to go vibrationally throughout your day. Feel your way. Feel for the vibration that matches that joyful, free, happy, relieved sense of already being there. And go there regardless of what is happening physically. Choose your feelings. Be the one who smiles when everyone else is cursing and complaining, because you have a secret everyone else has missed.

    Lindsay Lock Butler
I know have that song in my head. Good job, Ron ;-) I think the concept of being detached is misunderstood by some. I didn't begin to understand it until lately. Nothing is permanent. Everything will change. Will all experience loss at some point (and hopefully we deal w/ that by using the grief cycle). Knowing we're not the only ones to lose, and that we will have a next life can be wonderfully soothing. Knwoing that God has something great in mind helps me meet those challenges of change (I do not usually like change- I get very anxious). Those truths help me not worry [about the changes] and be happy with the here and now.

  • Allow your thoughts to be inspired by choice

To assume that you have something is more than merely to pretend. So let us look at the whole process of creating as it works for humankind. You issue forth thoughts, desires, and beliefs, that then immediately encounter Source Energy, which then immediately takes on the form of your beliefs and ideas. Those ethereal forms gain momentum with the addition of other thoughts.

So you see that your thoughts that run in alignment with commonly held beliefs are more easily maintained than those that run counter. It is not because those thoughts are inherently true: It’s because so many of you are thinking them, sharing them, talking about them and so on. Your thoughts that run counter to the norm are equally true, if you firmly believe them and assume their reality.

To assume—we like the word “assume” as it contains layers of belief important to this cycle of creation—is to take on a form, as one might assume an identity, or assume a disguise, or assume a role to be played. The word is rich in meaning. So the trick here is to see if you can assume an identity, a role, that runs counter to what seems to be true in your world; the common view. But since you are not yet ready to snap your fingers instantly and wake up in your new reality, you have to assume the feeling of it.

In other words think of how you would feel already having received all you have asked.

The sights and sounds and senses of your world—the slower, crystallized, vibrations of Source Energy—will catch up to you later, you see. But you must always engage the process at the level of your vibrational relationship with Source first. It is your thought frequency that moves Source into the patterns that will fill the days to come, not your actions. When you try to physically manipulate the things and people of your world into the shape you desire, you have automatically lowered your vibration. Allow your thoughts to be inspired by your choice, not by your present physical reality. Then you will see what power has been given you by Source.

Though I have been helped by awesome wisdom, like above, in ACIM, there are some "condemning" God parts like in the Old Testament. Believing probably any Sacred Text word for word, is called fundamentalism, and it is toxic to one's soul.

    Your greatest enemy

    Bobby Hinkle
Your greatest enemy is the imagination of an enemy, when you fearfully begin living your whole life defensively.

Manisha Pathak: nice one......cos when u are in defensive mode....things attack even from the sources u werent aware of.

    In defenselessness, my safety lies...(ACIM)

This is very valuable to me, as I have to confront a business partner. I was in a defensive mode, so now I am going to drop that and just greet him eye - to - eye with my truth! Thanks Bobby Hinkle & Manisha plus ACIM!

    Tom Nadeau
If I am at odds with a person...how is it that I ask for the peace to deal with them without asking that peace be upon them as well? A mentor of mine used to say, when I was locking horns with someone, "pray for them...nothing helps a resentment to fade better than requesting that the same serenity that you ask for also to be with your adversary."

Take Responsibility for your own alignment with Source

When you enter into the kingdom, the ever present here-now Spirit Directed world of events, the pathway is cleared for you like magic. It is only your belief in conflict which allows conflict to occur, and then you are in the ego-directed realm. In other words you believe there must be conflict between yourself and others because they seem to want different things, or be headed in ways that oppose you, and in reality there is enough room for all of you to go your chosen ways without ever bumping into another who is opposed or contradicts you.
The force of Spirit flooding into your experience sweeps the contrast away; clears the path. You don’t have to fix those people who come into your experience who don’t seem to fit—not your job. Fixing anyone is Spirit’s job, and only when they request it. You heal them and your entire field of experience by connecting yourself with Spirit first, and allowing that Spirit has the power to deal with it all—and that you need do nothing! We have said that to you many times for a reason. You need do nothing because when you feel that you must, or you should, or you have to, you are taking up a burden that belongs to Spirit.

Lay the burden down. Quit taking responsibility for anything that is going on with anyone else. It is in your allowing of them that you will discover your own clear path. What you must take responsibility for is your own alignment with Source. Then everything else will fall into place, including any and all actions you will take. The results will be joyful when you allow joyful Spirit presence to guide you.

You are blessed on this journey, (really)

    The Healing of Grief

    Ron Alexander_
Grief is very complicated and the most healing action is to be very gentle with yourself, creative pursuit, group and/or friend support, meditate, prayer - even very simple actions like taking a hot bath, read inspirational lit.films - humor - saw great funny inspirational film today - Think Lke a Man...book also by Steve Harvey.

Jeanne Porter Ashley Good movie, thanks! Very deep - surprisingly deep -- good for Steve Harvey and the screenwriter! Thanks for suggesting we see it!

Ron Alexander To me the worst part of grief is anger and bargaining - and both should be seen as normal. "Bargaining" is the crazy-making thinking - "Why me, why him, why her, why now, why why why????? Elizabeth Kubler came up with DABDA - Denial (important at first to make funeral arrangements, or other vital changes to deal with loss), Anger (You will be angry at person who died, at yourself for "not doing enough" - be gentle with yourself), Bargaining, D (forgot that one for now?) Acceptance is ideally the final successful stage - unfortunately it is not a linear process - it is circular and the going around and around can go on for a long time - so accepting the circularity is vital. I still have grief about my dear Brother Barry killed in Viet Nam complicated by my survivors guilt as I was in the Army at same time NOT in Viet Nam. I am thinking of going to Viet Nam on a Healing/Good Will trip this summer with Dr. John Fischer who goes every year, and testifies to the healing for himself as a  young combat soldier there. His organization is A Soldiers Heart!

Lindsay Lock Butler The 2nd D is depression.

  • Ron Alexander Thanks Lindsay Lock Butler - how could forget DEPRESSION. Ft.Walton is where my Brother Barry was trained to be helicopter pilot I believe, he went on to fly Medivac choppers and was killed with only2 weeks left.

  • Lindsay Lock Butler How sad. At least he is in a better place where pain cannot touch him anymore. And someday I sincerely believe that there'll be the biggest kickingest party in heaven and all we love and have lost (for a moment) will be there. And the loss and the pain will be but a moment in the eternal basking of love.

Ron Alexander Think like man, act like a woman! Some men think Harvey is a traitor to our gender, however I think it is an important book for all of us!

    Desiderata

    Desiderata by Max Ehrmann

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remembe...r what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly, and listen to others, even to the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

    If Viewed Through Open Eyes

Everything in the world makes sense
    and is wonderful if viewed
    through open eyes.
    Jose Ortega y Gasset

    Wisdom is .....

“Information is just bits of data.Knowledge
is putting them together. Wisdom is transcending
    them.”~Ram Dass
    In the bilge...
Information is just bits of data.
    Knowledge is putting them together.
Wisdom is transcending them.” ~Ram Dass

‎"Transcendence" can be a problem however, if one uses it as part of a denial system. I was doing that when after starting grad. school, the first time, we were in process groups, I was confronted for not being upfront about having any problems. They were right, I was meditating like crazy to "avoid" having any, and I certainly did not want to share my darkside - especially being only one from South in California
My metaphor for that process-oriented grad. school was "cleaning out my bilge" - the lowest part of a boat that collects all the dirt. Something I had failed to do for my otherwise beautiful sailboat, that I sold back in Carolna in order to go to Antoch U, San Francisco. After being there the new
owners complained about how hard they had to work to get the bilge cleaned. I gave them back some of the purchase price.
Needless to say, I am not a fan of "Transcendental Meditation" - besides the "transcendance" problem, the teachers sell the "mantras" for a tidy sum. I was given my mantra by Swami Vishnu Devananda, wh0 also taught me to be a Yoga Teacher on Paradise I. in the Bahamas.
The Grad. School was much more valuable towards my healing!
Rob Jackson Both light and dark reside in the human heart; human frailties we all possess. It is the awakened mind that helps us choose to walk in the direction of light (love) for not only others, but all living beings, including ourselves. Sometimes,... forgiveness is best served on the road within. Transcendence can begin with immanence, and resolve itself into the same beginning. For myself, mindfulness is still the chosen vehicle.
So, you have "transcended" all of your darkness, Rob Jackson? If you have then You are a Master! and what do you mean by "immanence" and how do you get to "mindfulness"?
Just to be clear, when I am in my meditation practice deeply or in a creative space, I am pretty close to mindfulness. However, it is not any kind of transcendent meditation. It is going deep within andd being aware of what is gong on within my body - senses - watching any kind of sensation - stiffness, tickling, pain (lot of that lately), itching, burning, cool, and this is beyond concentration, which is first step Anapana or pranayama &/or mantra Thase are the first step - concentration then to insight, the second step called Vipassana or Sensory Awareness. By the way, Mindfulness is my favorite place to be, and that includes awareness of denial & any type of avoidance of reaiity, which most call "transcendence"

Time and Eternal Nature - "You will simply go on to shine somewhere else."

    If you will truly re-cognize, re-know, the eternal nature of your own being;
experience again the wonders of the totality of your Greater Self, you will take
that whole bodily presence thing a lot less seriously. Your life there is not a
life and death matter! You will no more die when your body ceases to be, than
the sun will quit shining when nightfall comes…you will simply go on to shine
    somewhere else."
    Namaste,
    ~Twelve
    www.TwelveSpirit.net
    Here is full text:
    "Time is compressible and expandable,
certainly by your level of involvement, just as space is expandable and
    compressible. Stopping time altogether violates your agreement to be physical;
but yes, time can be stopped altogether. The movement of it is an
illusion/artifact of your physical presence in the time-space
    plane.

"In your meditation you may enter
timelessness, and you may certainly walk about with an altered sense of time.
You may also leave the boundaries of time and space by disconnecting your
physical body from your True Self. You sort of leave your body there as a golem
and wander off. Your cohorts there call it astral projection, and that is
inaccurate. You were astrally projected into that body in the first place, so it
is more accurate to say that you are astrally de-projecting yourself, to return
to your Native Natural State Of Being; what you were before you became human
    form.

"Astral projection is no big deal—you are
presently doing it every day when you wake up in that physical body of yours.
Does this make sense? You are projecting yourself there now, so in order to
project yourself anywhere else you just have to detach from that physical body
(which most of your resist because you think that means death) and allow
yourself to wander. It is mostly sheer force of habit that keeps most of you
    there anyway. (Laughing)

"If you will truly re-cognize, re-know,
the eternal nature of your own being; experience again the wonders of the
totality of your Greater Self, you will take that whole bodily presence thing a
lot less seriously. Your life there is not a life and death matter! You will no
more die when your body ceases to be, than the sun will quit shining when
nightfall comes…you will simply go on to shine somewhere else."

Henry, Arthur & Marilyn & the Problem of Judgement by Ignorance

Henry Miller (Nope it was Arthur Married to Marilyn Monroe) - Henry Miller -writer of some sexy books -I judged him as a sleaze writer & dirty old man also!
Arthur Miller married Marilyn but same judgements of both men, even though I mixed them up in an earlier post. I think I mixed them up as a teenager also?

Every day we slaughter our finest impulses. That is why we get a heartache when we read those lines written by the hand of a master and recognize them as our own, as the tender shoots which we stifled because we lacked the faith to believe in our own powers, our own criterion of truth and beauty. Every man, when he gets quiet, when he becomes desperately honest with himself, is capable of uttering profound truths. We all derive from the same source. there is no mystery about the origin of things. We are all part of creation, all kings, all poets, all musicians; we have only to open up, only to discover what is already there.” ―# Henry Miller#

in 1956, #Arthur Miller# found himself persecuted by the very force that he warned against, when he was called to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee. Miller refused to name people he allegedly saw at a Communist writers' meeting a decade before, and he was convicted of contempt. He later won an appeal. Also in 1956, Miller married actress Marilyn Monroe. The two divorced in 1961, one year before her death. That year Monroe appeared in her last film, The Misfits, which is based on an original screenplay by Miller.

So I was wrong about both men as Henry did write erotic literature and was famous for his sexual ttrysts & atheism at his isolated cabin in Big Sur at about the same time period. I was a teenager - innocent and ignorant in the Southeast judging both men harshly & wrongly!

Absolutely, I agree, it is just that I have had so many clients that had to have their weak egos built up with inspiration & support. Alot of their weakness was because they mistakenly rejected their ego, which is so vital on our earth in our bodies. So we can be leaders, teachers, ministers, therapists, inspirational writers (like so many here on fb like you, Bent Kim Lundberg, Tom Nadeau, Dean A. Banks, Subodh Kumar Misra, Suchi Kumar, and so many others of you I am so grateful for....
I enjoyed a dialogue with a Unity Minister of mine who ran a "tight" successful church, and I poined out to her some things she had to do to manage her church, that she could not do without a HEALTHY ego! To her credit, she quit lambasting her ego and became a more compassionate Minister as well leading even more success with the church.
Ron: Healthy, well-balanced ego - being aware of ego so it does not become toxic - unbalanced ego = egotistical, egotism, - some people become egoist because they really feel low self(ego)-esteem. So they compensate with a toxic inflated ego.... I really believe when St Francis said that "it is in dying to the self, that we are born to eternal life." However, I think to die to the ego or self, we really need to be ready to die to physical body and to the earth. I have observed and studied with Masters who have done that (supposedly), and they had to have disciples serve them fully. And I have seen some "Masters" who still had ego problems (unbalanced) every once at a while. I have heard them screaming at their servers for really no good reason, while being lovingly aware most of the time. Aum Shanti, Aum Shanti!

Beings of Light - made up of bioluminated stardust

Stardust plus sparks of light = bioluminated dust? Is this why we are Beings of Light? Ra Divakar
We are all sparks... of light... •*¨`*•✿ By Sannanda You are standing on the sh...ore of a lake... the Sun shines bright... the wind touches the water... creating thousands of small waves... each wave... reflecting a spark of light from the Sun... all sparks a separate unit... a specific consciousness of light... experience itself... through the gift of awareness... In you... the realization... Wow... we are all sparks... from the great light... the source we may call the Creator... Great Spirit... Goddess... God. We are all connected... to source. We are One... and yet the many... experiencing in our individuality the profound details... sending a message to the greater awareness... called source... Through our divine connection we now move ourselves... into source... becoming it all... Only Unity... is left... the Realization... We are all One... and through One... sparks of infinite light... reach out to play... to touch all of existence... like a sun ray on a lake... Butterfly Hugz

Row, row, row your boat GENTLY MERRILY

Row, row row your boat gently down the stream, Merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.
Make it a good dream! illustration (for my book) by Chad Chrysler

Roger A. Briggs: If very few of your friends or family members seem to understand you lately (or you them), don't be concerned. If you feel that you alone are waking up while all those around you appear to be sleeping, don't let it bother you. The thing is, everyone is awakening at their own pace... many are feeling somewhat overwhelmed by this new sense of knowing and the apparent sense of urge...ncy that accompanies it. Because of that, so many of those you care about could be in a temporary state of denial. I can't tell you how to deal with this, I can only share with you what works for me. Over the years I've found that the most beneficial course of action to take when dealing with others, especially where loved ones are concerned, is by making a conscious effort to maintain an open minded dialog..., by speaking gently and listening attentively. And above all, by being as patient with them as you would want them to be with you. RAB Thanks Roger! Row Row your boat GENTly down the stream Merrily, Merrily life is but a dream!

More Freedom - Republicans or Democrats?

Freedom (An excellent letter on who believes the most in freedom in The Myrtle Beach Sun Times - generally like most media it is conservative - the "liberal Media" is a mostly a mythical misnomer) GOP needs refresher on definition I have come to the conclusion that Republicans talk about freedom, but they don’t really believe in it. Rick Santorum, for example, recently applauded a preacher who sa...id non-Christians should leave the country. Republicans want public employees (rather than crooks on Wall Street) to submit bodily fluids for random drug testing. They want women to submit to vaginal ultrasounds (a form of institutionalized rape) before having an abortion. They want police to stop non-whites on the street and demand proof of citizenship. They want to make it as difficult as possible for the young, the elderly, the poor, and minorities to vote. They want to deny workers the freedom to form a union and do collectively bargaining. To me the only freedom conservatives really believe in is the freedom of the rich and powerful to rip off ordinary working people. I think it is liberals who believe the most in freedom. Franklin D. Roosevelt once said: “True individual freedom cannot exist without economic security…. Necessitous men are not free men. People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made.” Liberals believe in freedom from poverty, disease, unfair competition, substandard wages, and fear mongering. Liberals believe in freedom from tainted food, outrageous interest rates, deceptive advertising, hidden charges, and carcinogens in the environment. They believe in a citizen’s right to make his or her own decision about who to love and whether or not to have children. Liberals believe in freedom from unequal treatment because of skin color, religious beliefs or sexual orientation. They believe in the freedom to be a whistleblower or to protest an unnecessary war. Liberals believe in the freedom to compete on a level playing field against those who, by accident of birth, have more money and power. Freedom isn’t freedom unless ever citizen gets it. Forgiveness is Best Served Hot

    Guest: What about the
commandment “Do not bear false witness against thy neighbor.” Besides not lying, it seems to also say not to carry (bear) judgment around with you as if it were real.

Well, for the one doing the judging, it is real. That’s just it. Whatever you
judge things to be becomes your reality. And if your neighbor
does not want to participate in what others think of him or her, then the
Universe has to cough up somebody who does fit into their judgment pattern of
    beliefs.

So we think bearing false witness, or any other kind of witness against your neighbor is a bad idea. We don’t even think you should hold the true stuff against them. Forget for a
minute about the false witnessing thing, something completely made up. We think
most of you can see that if you are making something up, you are not doing them
or you any favors. But consider the neighbor who really did do something awful,
or the neighbor who has an awful disease. Why hold that against them, especially
when you are the one who holds it?

    If you hold them in
place of being a criminal or ill, you only serve to create more of it in your life experience. And most likely it
will not come from the one across the street that you know about. If you hold
them instead in the place of wellness and light and joyful living they will
either live up to your expectations, or the Universe will deliver you someone
who will. Your expectations set the tone for everything that comes to you. Do it
for you if not for them.

If revenge is a dish best served cold, then forgiveness is a dish best served
piping hot and fresh off the platter. Forgive and forget; really. See them as you wish they
were!! Hold them in a light that is sobright that you transform them into the person they would really like to be; powerful, safe, secure, happy. It is that light that will transform your world
and assure that you will always receive the happy content of your
    thought.

    Divina the Golden Dolphin

Grant Trevor: Ron, I didn't realize you had written a children's book. What's the name of it? Would love to see and check it out.
Ron Alexander SAILING AND SWIMMING WITH DOLPHINS - homemade - costs a lot of money ($186.00) The illustrator is a born again Christian so he did not like it - it ended up with Golden Rules from all the religions staring Divina the Golden Dolphin - "My Love for you will always be forever more throughout eternity."
Ron Alexander: Chad Chrysler was my illustrator, but I purchased all the originals and rights to do with them as I like.
Ron Alexander: Oops, that is starring not "staring".
William Mcelveen: I'm saving up to purchase a couple, especially the Adventures of kind. Have never been to e-bay but it's on my map and in my sights. I'm getting closer. Patients is a virtue.about a minute ago ·
Ron Alexander: Oh, Divina showed up at my wedding on the waterfront. She has not appeared off my boat in Charleston yet. Some people say she looks gold because it is reflected off sun setting. I know better, and my honeymoon was lights out

    Mindfulness Helps Silence Is Sacred

Silence is the most vital part of mindfulness to help slow the mind down. Ron Alexander original

"Silence empowers the word..."- thanks so much Bobby Hinkle

Bobby Hinkle: Words have power only through the silence surrounding them. Silence empowers the word. Thus, a mind is most powerful in silence. In silent there is no duality.

Ron Alexander: The best communication with a first mate I had on a sailboat was done in silence! She knew what to do to help the boat run without me having to say anything. She did have alot of experience on other boats. Still that silence extended into the rest of our relationSHIP also which help our regard for each other immensely. Unfortunately, she wanted to continue her profession as an architect in another country. We met at a Yoga Teachers Training in the Bahamas, and I did not even notice her until she and 9 others wanted to go saiing after graduation
