FROM THIS IT LOOKS AS IF THE EYE WILL MISS THE COAST. AND THAT IS A VERY GOOD THING

Hurricane Warning
Charleston County, South Carolina
Dangerous winds (55 mph+) may arrive near Charleston around this evening.

THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE EYE IS WHAT CAUSES MOST OF THE DANGER! KEEP ON GOING OUT TO SEA AND DISSIPATE DEAR MATTHEW!

Alana Lee Mawson: They don't always get get it right as hurricanes can be very unpredictable.
As someone who has been in 2 Cat 5 Hurricanes, I can attest to the catastrophic damage and devastation they leave in their wake. The saving grace for FL with Matthew is that i
t's not coming fully onshore but grazing the coastline as it continues its movement NW so basically they're getting half a hurricane if that makes sense. Real damage occurs when you get battered by the first half of a storm which weakens structures, then the 2nd half usually finishes the job
