However, don't bash the ego, it is not an enemy or the devil, it just wants safety, treat is as a little child - giving it boundaries and lots of space, some tough love, as there is no part of us that is junk! And to punish it is punishing part of ourselves - just like you would a child - be very aware of what she or he is doing - the ego will help you stay safe in "uncertain situations". Ron Alexander
