Eternity Means Many Lifetimes

To Know the Eternal Is To Be Not Afraid

To know the eternal [timeless] is called enlightenment.
Not to know the eternal is to act blindly to result in disaster.
He who knows the eternal is all-embracing.
Being all-embracing, he is impartial.
Being impartial, he is kingly [universal].
Being kingly, he is one with Nature.
Being one with nature, he is in accord with Tao.
Being in accord with Tao, he is everlasting,
And is free from danger throughout his lifetime.

Past the Lighthouse
into Deep Eternity.

This Self is never born nor does it ever perish; nor having come into existence will it again cease to be. It is birthless, eternal, changeless, ever-same (unaffected by the usual processes associated with time). It is not slain when the body is killed.

The Paradoxical Nature of Truth

No "thing" matters.
Every thing matters.
"Mindfulness Can help Your Conduct be Impeccable
If you see to it each day that your conduct is impeccable, the following day will be completely clear, and you will be free to carry out your plans, always vigilant that you leave no loose ends. In this way, each new day will find you free and well disposed."

Great Spirit Within Show Me the Path

Photo: Oh, Great Spirit within, show me the path that I must follow. Why do I hide you from myself? Your voice is like a mighty thunder, yet I choose to hear the whispers of doubt. Come to my aide, Great Spirit within, and pluck this doubt from my memory! Open my eyes to the colors of life so that the truth may burst into my soul like a million flowers simultaneously blossoming in springtime. Open my heart as deep and wide as the infinite and unending time that you have already created inside of every vein, every organ, every space of this body. Release myself unto me that I might experience the fullness of this radiant gift of pure energy and Love which constantly flows from myself to you, and extend it to our every moment of reality...in all that I see...in all that I hear...in all that I touch...with every beat of my heart...in all that I know that I AM.

Embrace Pain and Burn It as Fuel for our Journey

Photo
Yes, need to hear this as right now, I am in my pain body after being mostly in a bliss body for last few weeks. Facing reality at home after healing retreat. This too shall pass! thanks Brother Will Melies - sharing!
Ron Alexander Want to do what it takes to get back to the Reality of Bliss!
William Mcelveen Who's going to wash your underware?
Ron Alexander Mindfully, I take care of washing my underwear and it even adds to bliss! thanks William Mcelveen lol - "Chop wood and carry water" - the problem is my thinking and that is what I need more skill in plus more meditation for more stillness and no-thing-ness! Taking care of things too - simplifying - selling and giving away - want a beautiful boat cheap?

Transform the present moment into your entire life

"Transcending desire does not mean its repression, but the wisdom to transform the present moment into your entire life..." ~ Prabhuji

The time is of essence. The essence is now. ~ Ron Alexander

Can you imagine living like that? Living so much in the moment, that all guilt from the past is gone as well as all the anxiety from future thinking - that state is timeless and all is well - Buddha called it emptiness or nothingness - the end of suffering. Pure Bliss!  ~ Ron Alexander

Don't believe anything unless...

To simply learn and turn, hosing down everyone with what you have learned, doesn't offer understanding. Understanding, to me, is a product of not only what you've learned but what you've learned and experienced.   Bobby Hinkle

The Ego is not our new age "inner demon"!

I like Gary Zukav's definition of it being our Earth's guide. As long as we are here on this planet in our body, we need the ego. Of course, Freud (who created the word) had a much loftier definition as the middleman between the unconscious id and the superego our higher self. And I still like Ho'Oponopono's teachers that it is like our "inner child" and should be treated with that much awareness, embracing and tough love boundaries. Whatever, it is NOT the inner demon as most new age tomes would have it be - why hate any part of our selves? "No part of me is junk."
One needs a strong well-balanced ego to follow Rishi's advice!
And an "ego out of control, out of balance" needs strong boundaries with tough love respectfully Elizabeth May Sutor, so I don't disagree with you. Remember that Freud invented the term "ego" and he says it is a "conscious part of ourselves." Possibly, most are thinking of the unconscious id of our lower "snake" brain, when they think of the "ego". Even there, we depend on that part of our brain for our instincts, our basic need to defend ourselves! Without either id or ego, we would go around crashing into each other!
Dean A. Banks @Ron: I agree more with Jung's view of the ego as the reptilian brain. Freud's analysis scratched the surface.

Ron Alexander Well, I really think Jung advanced psychiatry into the spiritual, so I will not disagree with your statement, however I still know the ego is vital, yet with a need to be watched closely like a child!
Dean Banks:  True, Ron. We are not disagreeing...we are amplifying! Jung brought the concept of balancing the spiritual with the ego without directly alluding to that; I believe we need the ego and we need to balance our spiritual SELF with the ego self. The Divine has created what we need to survive and thrive!

Time is of the essence. The essence is now!

"In eternity there is indeed something true & sublime. But all these times & places & occasions are now & here. God him/herself culminates in the present moment, & will never be more divine in the lapse of all the ages."

~ Henry David Thoreau ~

Life is Beautiful

Harshada's "Basic Belief" reminds me of the Bodhisattva Vow

The basic belief that underlies everything that I do in this work is that we are great. I believe that we human beings are tremendously powerful and basically good- but that we are rarely raised or educated in a way that brings out that deep goodness. I believe that everyone deserves to live a life that reflects their greatness and that it takes some training to learn how to live in that way. The various programs and learning methods that I produce are all aimed at helping people know and live from their greatness and live a beautiful, inspiring, passionate, heart-centered, soulful life.

Allow You First

Twelve Insight Journal

January 13, 2013

Guest: The other day I was about to grouse at the Universe about stocks, cars, money, business not coming like I want… and before I got the first line out I realized I only have me to complain to. If it’s really all me, all my projection, my creation, there’s no one else to complain to. If all I have to do is change my thoughts, beliefs, and actions, why do I keep waiting for Spirit to tell me what to do? What on earth am I waiting for?

If you will listen to yourself you will see that you are maintaining a sense of separation there: You and Spirit. You and God. You and the Universe. You and ___________ (fill in the blank).

There is no separation. Separateness is only illusion. It’s all you and it all moves with you, as you, through you; and the only way to correct any of it is through you. You have to alter the you that is you before any of the rest of it will change.

So do this… allow yourself to make the change now. Allow yourself to live as if everything you ever wanted was already yours and you were living in that glow, basking in that glorious location in space and time. Allow yourself to do this now. It is that allowing that is going to change everything. Allow yourself to feel that way even if there is no material justification for it.

You keep wanting to have everything change (out there somewhere) and then you “allow” it to happen to you. That’s what you think allowing is. But really the first and only thing you have to allow is you. It’s all based on your vibrational signal to the Universe. Allow You!

When you get your signal straight in this way, then the Universe will shift itself naturally around you, and not before. Allow you to be who you want to be.

Namaste

Yoga of Positive Thought in Practice

It is so wonderful to realize that I don't need anything to make me happy, just be with Source. There is nothing "out there" that needs to behave differently than it does now. I don't have to whip anything, or anyone, into shape, even me. I just have to allow well-being and the rest works itself out.

Magnificent manifestations,
Larry

BIG HEART MEDITATION

Harshada David Wagner is an excellent meditation plus teacher, who I will write about much later. He looks like a blend of a mountain man and a rotund, jolly Buddha.  He says his purpose is to bring God's Love to Earth - to embody God's Love!

Harshada's "Basic Belief" reminds me of the Bodhisattva Vow

The basic belief that underlies everything that I do in this work is that we are great. The Power of Mindfulness and a True Smile

Thich  Nhat Hanh
A Zen Master, Thich  ''carries stillness with him even as he moves. Periodically, he has come to offer teachings to several thousand students gathered at Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Each time, as he walked up the road to begin teaching, the slow, beautifully careful placement of his steps on earth was visible to all. A stillness fell over the crowd. The power of his mindfulness brought everyone into the present. His presence inspired a profound attention.''

Mindfulness in all areas of Life

We have been studying and practicing mindfulness with Jack Kornfield (THE WISE HEART), as well as  the Boddhisattva at meditation retreat here in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains of Mass. Beautiful windy snow storm the last 28 hours or so - 12 -14 inches- wish I knew how to get photos on - not yet though
New  android computer !

William wrote: "Check out this stoke of luck, or some may call it magic. In the Unity store the other day, in a box marked free was the book on cassette tape, After The Ecstasy, The Laundry by Kornfield of course. I've been listening to it around the house and falling asleep to it also:) Also at your suggestion I bought, A Path With Heart and am really enjoy reading that. This is my first encounter with Kornfield. I see what you mean Ron Alexander. The dedication he has put into his spiritual development is amazing and inspiring. The stories, experiences and practical wisdom that flows is outstanding. I remind myself of an illustration he uses. A flower without or very little fragrance. He smells beautiful. Glad you got to be with him in retreat again. Right in the middle of the Blizzard. Perfect!"

Now, I am studying Nutrition and diet with Dr. John Douillard, author of The Three Season Diet.I am learning alot from this brilliant man, who lives what he teaches. I am going to be leaving with healing in Mind, body and Soul.  Already the teaching is overlapping, as Dr. John emphasize s that mindful eating is the most vital part of eating.
