Dogs are the Best Teachers

Lee Harrington: Poor Chloe has had a rough few days. First I leave to go dance around in the desert at Bhaktifest for a week; then she gets left behind at a strange dogsitter's house. Then she gets attacked by another dog (or dogs?) on Saturday while at the dogsitter's house. Then her wounds are left to fester for four days until I returned to retrieve her yesterday (This negligent dog-sitter didn't even know the dogs were wounded, thus I was never told anything.) Then today, Chloe spent a full day at the vet getting drugged, shaved, and stitched up (seven large lacerations!)....and yet, and yet, as soon as we get home she picks up her "Oinker" piggy toy and squeaks it a few times, to say that all, despite everything, is still well.

Aren't dogs the best teachers?
