Is it our "ego" or our reactive thinking (stinking thinking in AA)?

"Ego" or our thinking?
Siddhartha Bordoloi : Man minus ego = God
Ravi Gupta: Wish i could get rid of it.....
Siddhartha Bordoloi: There's no ego dear. It's an illusion. You're free here & now
Ravi Gupta: Then who is there .....?
Philip Evan Cowlishaw: Intelligent and Creative Consciousness ❤️ And prior to that...The Absolute (Parabrahman).
Ken Carroll: We assume ego is wrong. Perhaps, I AM, I Exist is even ego, but is free of attachment.
Ron Alexander :"Ego" is a concept created by Freud in 1890's!
Ron Alexander: Buddha places the emphasis of our problems on our thinking.
There was no concept of "ego" back then.
Darryl Snaychuk: Giving it a name, did not make it, it only named it.
Ron Alexander :However, since then it has been demonized as the "inner devil". Freud described it as the "conscious connection between the "Id (our instinctual self) and "Super Ego"(our Being "Self")
Sometimes when I’m asked to describe the Buddhist teachings, I say this: Everything is connected; nothing lasts; you are not alone. This is really just a restatement of the traditional Three Marks of Existence: non-self, impermanence, and suffering.
