The seeker heard in a dream about the sannyasi (master) who had a great diamond, perhaps the biggest in the world. He went up to the sannyasi and said "the stone, the stone! give me the stone!!!". The sannyasi said " perhaps this is the one that was in your dream." The man took the diamond and walked away. That night, the man tossed and turned. He could not believe the sannyasi just gave him such a precious diamond. He could not sleep a wink.
The next day, the man went up to the sannyasi and said to the sannyasi, "Please, give me the wealth that makes is so possible for you to give away this diamond so easily!"
The man/seeker keeps looking to the outside for his wealth, his happiness. The diamond/happiness/wealth that we really seek is inside of us. Nothing can compare to the richness that is our inner life, our inner happiness, our relationship with the divine. Let's be aware of our feelings, our joys and pains, our divine essence, our thoughts, our oneness with God to really be rich.
