What if our souls return here to get well? The "ego" is not our "inner satan"!

Pete Shaw

" My dear ones/ fb friends, what if planet earth is the mental asylum of the universe & our souls return here to get well ? "

I think that is possible especially if people quit hating themselves or part of themselves, they call the "ego" -
Ah, the poor demonized "ego" - it is the CONSCIOUS CONNECTION between our lower self and higher Self. We cannot operate in this dimension without it! It is not "our inner satan" - that is simplistic dualistic just as "the devil made me do it" by fundamentalist Christianity. The "ego-personality" is made up of many parts "inner critic", "inner judge", also positive parts like the "inner observer" - me, like many I have trouble with my "inner escapist" which is the part that wants make everything black and white, good and bad - there is a lot and keeping aware of our "ego" is important, as it is like an "inner child" and it needs boundaries just as a child, however it requires unconditional love too, as a child does...
NO PART OF US IS JUNK!
It blows me away that so many new age teachers are this dualistically simple - Eckhart Tolle and most ACIM teachers which is partly a dualistic text dissing the "ego" and dismissing the body. The Bible describes the body as our "temple", which is superb. The true story around Eckhart is that he was a ACIM teacher in England before his "self-described epiphany in Canada. He gets most of his material from ACIM, but his disowned ego wants all the credit. I know a friend who used to set up stage for him and othjer teachers at Omega, and he said he is the most egoistic of all of them.

Stephen C. Purcell It's ego that drives success most all the time.

Ra Divakar It is our primary driver which we cannot do without! I have been in ashrams where the "gurus"s were supposedly losing their "egos" and they needed lots of servants, as you cannot take care of yourself without an "ego". Even then you could hear them yelling at them.
