It has become my inner understanding that what Jesus taught is true-- that what descends (into mortal, material consciousness) must ascend (to spiritual, immortal consciousness), each in his own time. Some call this awakening, and some call it enlightenment, some self-realization, some resurrection. And more and more I'm coming to see that, yes, we help one another to awaken to the ONEness. But the way we help is not so much to convince or to convert to our way of thinking, but to shine our light of love the best we can. I see awakening as something that occurs in a place beyond our words and thoughts, and yes, also DESPITE them. Should we then share our thoughts? Share words of peace and freedom? Yes! Make them available. But not to preach, convince, or convert, only to be an example of Love walking, of joy, of peace, of Life--to be the Light of the world shining.
Blessing must arise from within your own mind. It is not something that comes from outside. When the positive qualities of your mind increase and the negativities decrease, that is what blessing means. The Tibetan word for blessing … means transforming into magnificent potential. Therefore, blessing refers to the development of virtuous qualities you did not previously have and the improvement of those good qualities you have already developed. ― Dalai Lama XIV
