Rev. Ed's Prayer

Prayer works because we are all connected spiritually. That may seem obvious to some but let's also look at it from a scientific point of view. Quantum theory teaches us also that we are all connected (the principle of non-local causation and the principle of non-separability, if you care to go deeper!). Also, we are genetically the same 99%  and in that light there is a connection. Our thoughts and energy in prayer do indeed transfer to others I believe. This is why we pray/think about others. It's a support to them.
But prayer does not always work, you may say. True, when looked at from one point of view. I always pray that the intention/desires of the soul of the person I am praying with is honored, what is highest and best for them. So if they want  a new job, I pray that the job they get is the one that is in alignment with their soul's desires. That may be different than what someone wants consciously!
That's just the way I pray, though. What do you think?

Come to the World Day of Prayer service tomorrow at 6:30! See below for details and and if you can't join us, pray with us from afar!
