LIKE: Something like love
drives me always,
searching for connections.
Vast are the questions,
yet the longing remains

Soul Beckons

Longings
I wait for the ways of this life to land me,
knowing that measures of the soul are limitless
and the roaming here uncertain....
As the decades dilate me,
the lofty places awaken,
and
longingly I search the sky.
If I gaze upon the stars too long,
I grow homesick deeper down.
Humbled in my earthly skin,
my heart becomes quite unbridled.
Something like love
drives me always,
searching for connections.
Vast are the questions,
yet the longing remains.
It manages to cradle some primal place,
as if I were able to reach the beyond.
