All parts of us are Divine (no part of me is junk including the ego)

Panache Desai's photo.
Instead of resisting any part of yourself you wish you didn't have, come into alignment and harmony with your perfect, divine self.
Ron Alexander I honor my "ego" - I see is as an inner child sometimes trying to get its way when not appropriate. It needs watching carefully, tough boundaries, however remember it gets out of balance trying to help compensate for feeling of weak sense of self. Egotism, egoist, egocentric are unbalanced states of the ego trying to compensate for feeling weak. Unconditional Love is important for this part of us and remember no part of us is "junk". As long as we are in the present on this plane on earth, we need the ego and body! In our next dimension - Spirit - we don't need them!
I am not a victim of the ego that I SEE!

Oh, and by the way I studied the ACIM Workbook for everyday for 2 years and had a group with Dr. Bill Thetford, who I consider the real scribe with Helen as the unwilling unbelieving channel. He LIVED ACIM - THE ESSENCE OF OUR BEING IS LOVE. I think he was truly liberated when he dropped his body on the street in Tiburon, where I worked with Dr. Jerry Jampolsky at the Center for Attitudinal Healing. They were good friends. Dr. Bill was very quite obviously in bliss sitting outside the circle of our group and when we questioned all the demonizing of the "ego" and dismissing of the body, he told us to "tear out those pages".  I  have learned a lot from ACIM, yet have come to realize that much of it is dualistic, because of those two reasons. "In defenselessness my safety lies" is one of the most helpful lessons of my life, in Essence, ron

Iriana L. Yoshara Ron I have been sharing the same perception for many years. Found for me what works is to do exactly what you said.....and have done that for myself and taught a bit of a technique on how to give that "inner child" a voice. Can you please explain what aspects of ACIM are dualistic? I know for me any teaching is never the gospel. All are subject to soul recognition as truth. Thank you for sharing always. heart emoticon
Ron Alexander Well, it is dualistic in reality not Reality - in this dimension we need a body and a ego. The Bible does a better job describing the body as the "temple of our Spirit". The "ego" is a concept invented by Freud, and he describes it as the CONSCIOUS interpreter of the id (lower brain) to the Super Ego - the Higher brain. The workbook over and over demonizes the innocent "ego".

Marie Corry I have come to realize that the only ego we have is our True Realized Godself, anything else is just part of the worldmind appearances. We will NEVER lose this ego. It is "I".   Wow, no separation, thought provoking! thanks Ron
