Peter Matthiessen RIP

An Adventurer, Explorer, naturalist, Zen Buddhist and famous Author died at 86. Most famous for SNOW LEOPARD, I consider, being a sailor and explorer, that Far Tortuga was his best, and he shared that opinion with me. He was one of Timothy Leary's followers using acid as a spiritual path, however his wife went to Zen and found it much better as a path. Peter, noticed the change in her, and started studying Zen and meditating with her. He even got as far as studying for priesthood, but could not pass the 14 step Koan "What is the sound of one hand clapping", and went back to being a student. He says he was just too intellectual to be a Zen Priest, laughing about it.

What a great man helping Nature and all of us understand the importance of All Beings!
