From Sailing to Ailing

Robyn Summers-Shelley It is always hard to take the next step forwards my friend. I to think about change when I sell up the farm. As we age, it is hard to take that next step forward. Did not think about it in years gone by, but me does now. Hugs and luv from a land down under my dear friend Ron Alexander xxxxx

  • Thanks so much for the support Robyn Summers-Shelley, Evelyn Leonard Wright, Angie Pennington, Valerie Stiehl and Shel Kent. Interestingly, like you selling your farm Robyn, I am selling my sailboat, which is almost like selling my dreams. I will still have a beautiful wooden rowboat. The problem is an inner ear condition which causes vertigo (dizziness) which makes sailing almost unbearable with all the motion. I think rowing will be alright (rowboat is still on trailer). Not a good start this morning as a knotmaker sailing Vet. friend of mine invited me to his booth at a farmer's market, and I was thinking of becoming his apprentice. However, 2 hours at his booth and walking around and my vertigo became hurtful even there. Knot making requires much mindfulness, and mindful is the way I want to be the rest of my life, perhaps even teaching Loving Kindness Meditation which has been so helpful to me especially lately and especially being compassionate to myself and ailing physicality.
